It's a fantastic adaptor to use if you've got a few Magsafe power adapters lying around and have the newer Mac laptops that use the new magsafe 2 connector.

Works great with the 80w charger. Perfectly stays connected with the MagSafe.

Unfortunately, you need this little guy if you have the old magsafe adapter.

I think I have had to purchase two of these units over the years. If you find your laptop not charging then take a lot at the Mag Safe terminals, if they appear dirty you probably need to replace. After I replaced my laptop was able to charge again. Probably good to have a spare on hand.

I love the old power adapters rather than the new cheap ones apple makes. This adapters makes it possible to use the old BETTER ones.

With this converter, I only have to have one power supply for my old Macbook Pro and my newer Macbook Air.

I read several reviews about these only lasting around 6 months, but for me it has done it's job so far with no problems.

Had to buy a new charger for my 2011 MBP when I lost it, wife has a 2015 MBP and now we both can use the same charger.

When I ran out of MagSafe 2 Adapters in the store, the Adapter gave me flexibility using a MagSafe to MagSafe 2.

bought this cord to see if an old Apple Mac would fire up. it didn't, but I am using the cord on another iMac and it's great.
