This is a pretty good device.. I have several old macbook adapters from old macbook models but I needed one for a newer version macbook, as it was worn out completely.. This little convertor let me use the old adapter without having to purchase an adapter..

Instead of buying a new charging cord, I was able to repurpose my old charging cord with this adapter. I can now charge my 2022 MacBook Air with the charging cord that came with my MacBook for 10 years ago!

I am one of those who upgraded from 2011 MBA to 2015 MBA. I had 2 chargers for the 2011 MBA and I could not use those on my new laptop. It was frustrating before i came to know that this item existed. This saved me big time. The product of course is typical apple design - perfect fit

Worth the price! Saved me from spending 8x as much money on a whole new charger for the MagSafe2 chargers. Simple to attach and with a little bit of time, a rubber band, and a glue gun you can make a leash for it. It's so small, you'd definitely lose it if you didn't.

This will let you continue to use older MagSafe power adapters with new Apple notebooks. We've now one on each of our adapters. I strongly encourage using MagCozy leashes to hold them; even if you use it all the time.

As the title states, you have to have this in order to connect any new Macbook Pro to a cinema display (if you want to charge the macbook and run in clamshell mode) It was cheap so it's not really a big deal you have to buy it, but the first time I plugged it in, it got so hot I couldn't touch it. Read some similar stories online but learned that flipping it over fixes this. Kind of annoying, but that's all you have to do. Just leave it connected to the power plug coming off the monitor and you won't have to worry about figuring out which way it's plugged in since the cord should always be directed up off the top of the mac and not going down the side (like in my photo).

I had to buy this because I bought the wrong MagSafe charger for my MacBook Pro, which I could return without the receipt. But this fit onto the end of the MagSafe 2 charger perfectly and made it so I could charge my computer again. Thank goodness!

I have an old MagSafe power adapter and didn’t want to spend 80 bucks on a replacement. This did the job perfectly. I’m surprised apple came up with this option.

I needed to connect an Apple cinema display built-in charger to my Macbook. The display uses MagSafe while my Macbook uses MagSafe 2. Works flawlessly. I now have an extra charger!

Purchased a new Apple laptop and Thunderbolt monitor. Was not told I had to have a special Converter to plug my laptop into the monitor. Was surprised the converter was priced low. It is small and stays on the monitor cables really well. It is easy to install.

I was standing in the apple accessory aisle about to purchase a whole new Magsafe 2 cable and was not happy with the price of $80 because I had mistakenly purchased the Magsafe charger on-line (cheap and from a different source) realizing I should've purchased the Magsafe 2 instead. It was too late to exchange/return it. As I was standing in the store debating on what to do, I saw this adaptor for $10....awesome....and it has a very strong magnet meaning it is not going to come loose from your charger. It made my day!

If you're a Mac devotee like me, this adapter allows you to reuse your older style power brick. This solution saved me about $70 and it's rather eco friendly since you're getting extra life out of an older generation electronic component. Despite the small size of this adapter, it still exemplifies the simple, elegant design Apple is known for. Glad Apple made this part available for an affordable price! I use mine so I don't have to carry a power brick from my home to my office. Love the convenience!

This adapter works fine and I get to use an older style charger with my MacBook. This is my second one as it is easy to forget that it is attached and later it falls off and is lost! I 3D printed a plastic holder that I glued onto the adapter and tied to the cord so I won't lose this one! Check out thingiverse.com if you have a 3D printer!

When I got my new MBP, it was annoying that I couldn't use my old charger. Now with this, I can keep on charger at home, and another in my bag. Only $10, worth getting even if you don't have an old charger. You never know when you forget your charger, and someone else has the old port.

As you might know, if you had an old MacBook Pro and bought the new model, the power cord is different, and knowing that those power cords are expensive, we have a cheaper choice. This adapter will make you're old power cord being compatible with your new computer. Best thing is that it is an apple product :)

Works like a charm. This is a genuine Apple product which can be used with magsafe power adapters to charge your macbooks that are compatible with magsafe2 adapters. Must have, if you do not want to spend additional money to buy a more expensive magsafe2 power adapter.

Not much can be said about this adapter. If you have multiple MacBooks or some old MagSafe chargers, this will allow you to charge your new MagSafe 2 laptop without constantly swapping to the new charger. Fit and finish is excellent and the magnet is strong.

Since Apple switched from MagSafe to MagSafe 2, an adapter was needed so newer computers could user Apple's older MagSafe chargers or Apple Thunderbolt Display. This inexpensive adapter is high quality, magnetic, and works great.

I had a macbook before I purchased my new macbook pro and sure enough, they changed the charging cable again... That being said, I found this little gadget that couldn't be any more compact that serves as an adapter to allow me to use my old charger on the new laptop. It is great because it is easy to transport and can be carried everywhere with you in a bag or pocket if need be. It is also pretty inexpensive, which is enough to make anyone reconsider buying a new $80 charger when you could just utilize the one you already have. The exterior finish is nice and matches the finish on my laptop--it is also magnetic like the charging cable and sticks to both the cable being adapted, and the laptop port. I definitely recommend it.
