I purchased a new Apple MacBook that uses the newer MagSafe 2 AC adapter. I had an old MagSafe AC adapter that I converted to a MagSafe 2 adapter with this converter. It works great. Be careful if you use a lower wattage adapter with this that may not fully charge your MacBook.

Works perfectly and much cheaper than buying another power cord. Just like the other reviews you can easily lose the adapter if you’re not careful. Well worth the money!

This is the perfect (and much cheaper) alternative to buying another power cord. It works perfectly. Keep in mind that this adapter is tiny and very easy to lose.

Very easy to use. Just add to the tip of the charger and it stays. No need to worry about it falling off. Charges great

Love this adapter. It works well, unlike the multipin to lightning adapter we bought to try to use older ihome devices with the new phones. They could not detect a device was there using that adapter. This one allows my wife's newer mac laptops to be charged with the older power cords we have.

I have many power cords from previous MacPro laptops. I can easily convert those to MagSafe2 without too much cost. It's nice to have one at home in my office that's ready to connect without having to pull out the cord from my bag pack. I also have one near my end table in our bedroom.

I have an older Macbook and a Macbook Pro so the adapter allows me to plug into my monitor and charge both laptops. Convenient!!!

Bought this when my son came to visit & he left his newer macbookpro charger at home. He was able to charge his computer with no problem. It worked great, it did what it was suppose to do and it's good quality. I love apple products. Never disappointed. They always deliver with great quality.

Did what I needed to do. Re use an old Apple MagSafe charger. Way cheaper than buying a MagSafe 2 charger.

I bought a MagSafe adapter for my old Macbook and then upgraded to a new computer with a MagSafe 2 within a year. The adapters are so expensive, and I'm very glad Apple created these converters so I can continue to use my old adapter with my new computer. That way I can use my old adapter at my parents' house and my new one at my apt without having to bring one back and forth. The converter itself is super simple to use, and the magnet strength seems similar to a MagSafe 2.

The style of this product is a little awkward as the mag strip to mag strip puts it at a disadvantage for a conscientious SpaceSaver. Obviously this mag strip charging adapter is necessary for an old MacBook pro and yes it works excellently. Because it's small is easily overlooked and It's a little awkward but it does the trick. I would recommend that you always keep an eye on your adaptor end, because if you lose it, it's back to the Best Buy store you go! I'm certainly grateful that it was available when I needed it.

I just upgraded to a newer MBP that needs the new charger. So now i used my old one at home when working on my display. I keep my new one in my backpack so I never forget to bring a power cable. It stinks that Apple Changed it in the first place, but $10 is very affordable.

If you used to own an old Apple Laptop with a MagSafe charger, this is a great buy. That old charger can be used as a spare for the new machines that use MagSafe 2.

The adapter is great for multiple devices that want to share the same cord. It was under $10 and an extra cord was $80. So, no brainer

I purchased this converter when I purchased a new MagSafe charge, because I needed a MagSafe 2 charger, however they did not have it in 60W. I was unsure of this product, I thought it would have fallen off by now, but it was stayed strong in place while charging my laptop.

Instead of buying a second MagSafe for home @$85 I was able to use this little adapter to power up my MBP at home using a previous version MagSafe for $10, a very good deal in my book.

I mean not much to say other then, I already had extra power cables for my MagSafe 1 MacBook Pro, so when I got a new one that is MagSafe 2, bought two of these. 1 at home on my thunderbolt 27" apple display, and one on my charger I leave in my laptop bag for travel (and kept the actually MagSafe 2 charger that came with new MacBook in my work office). So they work and make it so I didn't have to buy more expensive power bricks and did not render my thunderbolt display useless.

Does what it is supposed to. If only Apple would not keep changing their design so you have to get new cables, adapters and accessories.

someone stole my laptop charger so i was happy to find this to use with my gfs magsafe laptop charger rather than buy a whole new one.

Needed to convert power on new macbook pro to use older power source. Less expensive to purchase magsafe to magsafe2 converter than complete new power source.
