My power cord got mangled from over-use. What? Yes. So, I went on line to Best Buy, found this adapter power cord and it is perfect.

MagSafe is one of Apple's greatest innovations. I'm really sad they've abandoned the medium in their newer laptops. I needed this at home for when I brought my work computer home with me. It was more convenient to use and older charger I had at home than to bring the one from work home every time. Works just like it should.

I bought this because I had bought one and away way my MacBook Air so I got the new one and like it does what its suppose to do.

Converted two Magsafe power supplies with ease! Recommend finding a way to not lose the converter, although it is magnetic, it is quite small. I used "MagCozy" which holds the converter and attaches to the cord.

I purchased the converter along with the adapter for a Mac laptop for one of our staff, and she likes it. She travels often, so it is very convenient.

Cheap and easy way to reuse an older generation macbook charger. Connection is strong so it doesn't fall off when being stored or not in use.

The Mag Safe to Mag Safe 2 converter does the job. I wish it was not necessary but I can see why a Mac Book Air needed a reduced width on its power input. It’s great to be able to use all my old Mag Safe AC adapters. The Mag Safe to Mag Safe 2 adapter sticks magnetically to the Mac Book Air so I don’t lose it.

I had an older macbook pro, so i had the old charging cables. This converter allows me to continue to use the old charger i had. Works great!

This adapter works well for converting an older style power adapter so it can be used with the Macbook Retina. Also works with mac displays.

Works perfect when connecting my MPR to my Thunderbolt Display. The newer (MC914LL/B) Thunderbolt Displays include this when purchased. But if you purchase the older (MC914LL/A) Thunderbolt Displays that were released right when they came out you don't have a magsafe2 adapter. I think the two products are same it's just whether the magsafe2 is included or not.

It's the perfect fit! I'm using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7. I was looking for a used 85W MagSafe 2 charger online and realized my gf's very old Macbook still had her 60W MagSafe(1). I thought the Wattage would be to low to charge my 15" Macbook Pro but it works wonderfully. I attached the adapter to the 60W Magsafe(1) and added an accessory to keep it from ever falling off, although I would imagine it wouldn't. I often keep my charger in my backpack and rather than ever fumble around for it I'd rather keep attached to the accessory. Furthermore, the charging is not as fast since its on a lower wattage but I have no complaints. I saved a ton of money. Thanks! I would highly recommend if you're on the fence of getting a Apple - MagSafe-to-MagSafe 2 Converter for your old charger.

Great replacement for my Mac. Glad that the reps could help because apple reps didn't. You do need the adapter for the older macs (2012)

Was not happy when Apple replaced the magsafe power cord with the magsafe2 power cord. What was the point? Just to get customers to buy a new cord. The new magnetic end seems now better than the older end. I actually like how magsafe attaches to the mac better than magsafe2. This converter works, its small, I keep one in my work bag and one at home. does the trick.

I forgot my charger at a client's. I feared I had to pay $60 or more for a charger until a Best Buy employee pointed me to this gift!

I SO appreciate buying this adapter versus a whole new plug. I've recommended it to several educators that received new computers.

Stupid that Apple even changed the chargers. Thankfully they made this converter that way I'm able to use my older chargers for backup.

Rather than spend the money for a second power adapter, this allows MacBook users to have one adapter that works on their old computer (MagSafe 1) and with the newer, wider power ports. The sole and minor problem is that it's small enough to get lost in the bottom of a laptop bag, but a small zipper container will solve that nicely.

I can reused my 60W magsafe power supply for my new MB Pro 15" w/retina display with this adapter. Safe me $60 and the environment.
