I had an extra MagSafe adapter (L shape) from a previous MBP purchase. I bought the MagSafe to MagSafe2 adapter and now I'm able to use it in the office. No more carrying around power bricks!

This allowed me to use the older style power cord with my laptop when I realized I'd packed the wrong one to take out of town.

When I left my magsafe power adapter at a client site, I was SOL for my charger. Luckily, I had my old MBP charger still on hand, and buying this adapter saved me $70. Boom!
