Must Have... but not for the reasons you think.

They have discontinued the old power cord for some undisclosed reason. This adapter does work well enough and never separates from the main NEW power cord, but Apple did not send a reason for the switch that I can find. Annoying, but we must move on...

Super handy and a money saver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an older 2010 Apple laptop as well as a 2013 Apple MacBook Air. Since Apple changed the size of the charging adapter, I needed to carry two cords with me. With the Magsafe-to-Magsafe 2 Converter, I found I only needed one cord again. The magnetic Converter attaches to the smaller and older cord and instantly begins to charge the new MB Air computer. It is very easy to attach and remove. I would suggest you design a solution to keep it close since it is small and could be easily lost. A great money saver since you can use your older chargers and carry only one with you.
