This isn't anything fancy. It's a simple adapter for connecting your mac to a vga feed.

With the Mac I am able to have three monitors going at the same time. Laptop screen, plus two external flat screens. With my PC I was only able to power 2 monitors. The third monitor is a big assist. The adapter works great.

Works as advertised. If you handle them well, things like this usually never wear out.

I purchased this to connect my Mac Mini to a standard LCD computer monitor...I know blasphemy but it does the trick as I already have a retina display iMac. This connection is great for home office use where an Apple display is not required. I have no complaints for the application I am using this for as the resolution is no worse than that of a PC. If my current monitor poops out I will probably get a small LED TV/Monitor and hook up my Mac Mini with the built in HDMI port but until then this setup works just GREAT!

This is an easy to use adapter that allows us to send our MacBook signal to an overhead projector. Much needed and always reliable.

I have to admit, I'm not totally sure what this does, but my husband said that I needed this, so we bought it. Everything on my computer seems to be functioning fine, so I guess this product is working like it should!

I use this cord to attach my Macbook Pro w/ Retina to a Windows Monitor to use it as a dual screen for work. It plugs in effortlessly and works great! I like that it is compact and not an eyesore on my desk.

I purchased this because I wanted a second monitor for my laptop while working at home. The setup could not be more simple; just plug it into your Thunderbolt port and attach the other end to the VGA adapter. Apple's software makes working on two screens very enjoyable, and really increases productivity. I had tried one other non-Apple adapter, and it did not recognize my external display. This one had no such problems, and even works on different brand monitors that I have around the house.

This little adapter does exactly what it is supposed to. I've used many generic/clone brands of these at work, and the only ones that actually stand up to repeated use and don't eventually degrade are these OEM ones from Apple. You get what you pay for, and while the price is a bit more than it probably should be, the fact that I have never had one of these die on me and have had dozens of the cheap generic/clone ones go bad within weeks of starting use, I'll stick with these from now on.
