    No brainer. This works right out of the box for MDP to DVI. This is the second one I have purchased in the past few years. The first one is still going strong on a separate system (Windows Surface / MacMini).

    This is just a simple cable adapter so there really isn't much to say except it worked as advertised. I hooked my daughters new Apple laptop to an older 24" monitor that was just laying around. She was very happy!

    I didn't realize that Mini DisplayPort is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt display technology. In other words, if you have a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac and need to display to a VGA display, this cable will do the trick.
