Needed this one but was really looking for multi mini.

I am not the biggest fan of this product. Does a descent job.

I bought this adapter as a work emergency to use with my Surface. If I did not have a time constraint, any of the cheaper adapters would have worked just as well.

Thought this was the converter for hdmi to tv lol this is not! This is the old style lol make sure double check the ports

The adapter I thought was too pricey. it also didn't seem to work with my laptop. It wouldn't recognize the monitor.

If this one doesn't last for five years or more, I will buy from different manufacturer.

I have a brand new Mac Mini, that I wanted to connect to a VGA monitor. I plugged this adaptor into the display port, and then, I connected the monitors VGA cable to the adaptor, and it worked, the first time, without any further setup. It really is, just that simple. I didn't have to configure anything. It worked, right out of the box. The only downside, is the price. I'm used to Apple Products costing a lot, so I didn't hesitate to buy this product, because I needed it. However, it is expensive, for what you're getting. There may be 3rd Party versions available, for less money, however, you take risks, whenever you use a 3rd Party piece of hardware. Maybe, it'll work, and maybe it won't. In some cases, like with a USB power adaptor, some 3rd party products damage your Apple Device. Its not worth the risk, of it damaging your device, or not working. Its best to buy OEM Apple Products, because they work, as they're intended to, and they're very easy to use. Make sure, you need a VGA port, your monitor. A monitor may be VGA, but it may also be DVI, HDMI, micro HDMI, or Thunderbolt. The Mac Mini, for example, comes with a DVI adaptor, that looks identical to this adaptor, except its made for a DVI connection. The Mac Mini, also has an HDMI port, as do many other Macs, so if you're connecting it to a monitor or television with an HDMI input port, than you don't need this VGA adaptor. This VGA adaptor is intended for monitors or televisions, which have a VGA port. My Mac Mini is connected to a Samsung HDTV. The Television has both an HDMI and a VGA port. The HDMI port is being used by my Apple TV, so I'm using the VGA port, for my Mac Mini. I could use AirPlay, to stream my Mac Mini, to my Apple TV, and skip the cable entirely, however, this only works, if I have a WiFi connection. if my WiFi connect ever fails, I loose my picture, and enabling AirPlay requires a monitor, to set it up. Also, with any streaming, even AirPlay, which is fast, it will have a delay. While AirPlay is fast, VGA is faster, and easier. So, if you're like me, and need a VGA port, I'd recommend this adaptor, especially for a Mac Mini.

If you are a MacBook user and would like to connect to a large monitor, this product will be your best friend! It is easy to use and connects easily wherever and whenever you need it. Highly recommend the original Apple - Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter!

Was quick delivery.Excited to try it out and it didn’t work.I was told their was a short in it.Took it as a lost.

Don't waste your time with anything else, get the Apple DisplayPort to VGA when trying to connect a Mac Mini to a VGA monitor. I was unaware that "Mini DisplayPort" is virtually the same thing as a "Thunderbolt port" and thus I wasted some time by buying the wrong adapter and having to make another trip back to Best Buy. This product is excellent - plug it in and it works! Bottom line, if you are trying to connect a Mac Mini to a VGA monitor, this is the only way to go.

I bought this so I could hook up my 13" macbook pro to my old Dell monitor. That adapter connected to the monitor cable just fine and plugs easily into my computer. I can move the cable and adapter around and it doesn't cause any distortion of picture.

Not only was this item incredibly easy to find in the store with the actual size picture on the packaging, but it is also incredibly easy to use. Fast and easy and good for on the go.

Well-designed, works perfectly right out of the box. Nicer than competitors' adapters, because the VGA adapter is completely surrounded by durable plastic.

This device did exactly what I needed it to do and I was able to project from my computer to a monitor. competitive pricing to the Apple Store as well.

The Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter is very simple - just connect it to your monitor's VGA cable and connect the adapter to your DisplayPort-equipped Mac. My only gripe is that clamshell mode on my MacBook Pro doesn't work, but I don't necessarily think that is a fault of this adapter. Also, like other Apple adapters, this one is a bit overpriced, but the build quality is definitely better than the off-brands.

I had a mini DVI port on my old macbook and the adapter didn't stay. This one stays wonderfully on my new MacBook Pro. It doesn't come out easilly or accidently. It takes desire to actually take it out which is a huge plus.

Good build quality like most Apple products matched with a high price.
