There are still quite a few old-school projectors that require VGA connection. I wish this adapter was $20 or less. Dinged overall rating on price.

Works but over-priced

It simply plugs in to the mini-display port and "voila", there is your VGA connection. I don't know why Apple has made this $10 more than then older style display adapter. Having this on sale at Best Buy made it more palatable.

Check your monitor before you go to the store

I am so glad that I listened to him (I could return it if I didn't need it) because I would have had to return to the store to buy it. It was exactly what I needed to get my system up and running in less than 15 minutes.

Use a bigger moniter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's unfortunate that Apple requires a separate adapter to connect an external monitor. Lightroom on a 13" MBP is not a good thing. Photoshop isn't much better. This allows me to connect my large monitor and set the notebook aside.

Works Perfect
