I would have given it five stars, if it was not Bluetooth 2.0. I would have hoped for a newer version Bluetooth on this device.

I got it for its look, functionality, and quality. The Bluetooth connectivity and pairing is great for multiple devices. While it's sleek and responsive, I did not like how slippery it felt than other keyboards. The finish makes it hard to type accurately.

We love Apple products and this keyboard is a great addition to what we already have. It is slim, efficient and has decent range.

I was looking for a small portable keyboard to use with my iPad mini. I tried the Apple Magic Keyboard but found it uncomfortable. The keys make a hard landing when they reach the bottom of their range of travel. You have to type very lightly to use this keyboard which sometimes results in the key not making good contact, i.e., the letter doesn’t register. As you type harder, it hurts your fingers when the keys bottom out. It’s like typing on a hard table top. I found it difficult to find just the right pressure level to ensure key contact but not be uncomfortable. I liked the key spacing but found my fingers getting sore after typing for a while, I went, instead, with a Logitech K380 which I am very happy with. By the way, the Logitech keyboard is one-third the price of the Apple keyboard.

I returned 2 new apple keyboards in as many days. All of the letters on the right side of the keyboard did not work. What happened is that the keyboards were shipped loaded in the "keyboard for mouse" condition. After an hour on the phone with Apple we discovered that you need to clicl the "option" key 5 times to convert the keyboard so that all the letter keys will work.

All I can say is this is definitely overpriced for a basic Bluetooth keyboard that doesn’t even have a built-in fingerprint scanner I see this listed maybe 50 $60 tops because it is thin and it has an aluminum top
