Bought for my boyfriend to go with his IPad. He loves it!

My time machine was not backing up. I've taken and my computer in 3 times--leaving them for several hours the last time and was assured that it was working finally. Immediately on taking them home I get a message that the time machine could not back up to "new Volume". So that seems it's not working properly. Austen worked on it the first two times and was very helpful. Danny assured me the 3rd time that all was taken care of. I was given a direct number to talk to Geek squad, but no one ever answers. Further I keep getting phone messages that says I can make an appt to pick up my equipment, even though I've had it for several days. What now?

The keyboard has good touch control, feels good to type on and is very quiet. However, the characters are only painted on the surface of each key, so they wear off within just six months of use. So I am forced to buy a new keyboard every year. That is pathetic. My non-Apple brand keyboards have the letters on eackh key go all the way through the depth of the plastic, so this way, the characters can NEVER wear off. Shame on you, Apple, for making such cheap keboard keys. I expect more from you. Shame on you.

I use it with my old iMac by necessity. It's adequate, and I like that it is rechargeable. But I'm disappointed that Apple does not make it backlit. It's okay for my iMac, but it's unnecessary for a MacBook computer. MacBooks have superior keyboards to the Magic Keyboard.

Seems to be working as needed. I bought this for my daughter for school.

This keyboard is not perfect. I purchased it online, but did not opt for the English keyboard as I needed the German version. You'd think because the keyboard is advertised as "magic" that it would really surpass all expectations. However, in the simple process of connecting to an iMac, the device was unaware of its own language and mapped all of the keys incorrectly to English. Not something that you would expect from this type of product. On the bright side, this keyboard has been excellent. It is rechargeable with a lightning cable and probably only loses 1-2% battery capacity per week with heavy use. It rarely ever needs to be charged. At first I hated the shallow keys as I found that it was easier to make mistakes when compared to a standard keyboard. After one day of using the device however I truly prefer the key depth. Lastly, the style and small form factor (albeit subjective) are a huge factor in why I like this keyboard. It is so small and thin that it can easily be locked with the lock button and thrown into a bag. It is virtually weightless, yet I have never had an issue with it sliding on the desk surface. As it is made from aluminum, one would assume that it is durable and might last quite some time if taken care of. The device also works with AppleTV, which is great except the Siri remote pretty much negates the need for a bluetooth keyboard. Still, the range of the device is such that it works flawlessly.

It works. It looks good. Well done Apple. You didn’t fail!

Got this as a replacement to the one in the packaging. Hope this one lasts.

Great key board but I wish it has a back lite function.
