Customers are saying

Customers regard the MLA22LL/A TKL Wireless Magic Keyboard favorably for its excellent battery life, high-quality keyboard, ease of use, and compact size. Many appreciate its wireless functionality, lightweight design, and sleek aesthetics. However, some find the price to be a bit high and the key travel short. The lack of a number pad is also a common point of criticism.

    Best Keyboard Ever!

I bought my 2nd keyboard w/batteries because my battery portal had eroded on my 1st keyboard and I was unable to remove my batteries. Well, guess what? It happened to me again! I went to get Geek Squad's help but they were unable to change the batteries. I thought I was going to have to buy my 3rd keyboard with batteries. As luck would have it, I will never have to worry about eroded batteries again. This rechargeable keyboard means I will never have to replace another battery. It's appears to be about the same size as my other keyboards but it is lighter, thinner and slicker. I love it!

The quality you've come to expect from Apple. Keys feel great, and takes up little space on your desk. I haven't had any connection issues and the battery life is great.

This is an awesome external device. I use it with Macbook Pro 13" retina with force touch. Works great and I have not had any problems with it at all. Initial setup was as simple as plugging it into my laptop with the supplied thunder bolt to USB cord in order to sync it with my laptop. Then I was able to unplug the cord and use it wirelessly.

I have nothing but great things to say about this keyboard. I set my MacBook up with a monitor and bought this to make working at home a little bit easier. It works very well and was a good buy.

keys not the same as older models

The original Apple Wireless Keyboard (3-battery model) that I'd used for several years with my MacBook Pro recently started dropping the bluetooth signal and I thought it needed to be replaced. After researching the Magic Keyboard to make sure it didn’t have the “butterfly key” (vs "scissor") mechanism of the new Apple MacBook Pros, I purchased one. Although the keys do have the scissor mechanism, they have less key travel than my older one and the touch was not as smooth, IMO. I could tell that my hands would get tired if I had to type for extended periods. I further tested my old one and discovered that my nearby iPad’s bluetooth was competing with my MacBook Pro's. (I had paired the keyboard with the iPad at one time.) I realized that I could just turn the iPad's bluetooth off or unpair the keyboard, since I don't use it very often with the iPad. The old one is working perfectly again, and I have the familiar key touch back! If this one ever truly dies, I'll probably get a Magic Keyboard again. Batteries last a long time on my old keyboard, but it would be nice to just plug in the keyboard to charge.

I wasn't sure about buying the keyboard because I love the mac keyboard. But this new generation works fantastic. I love it, easy to charge, very light, super comfy. If you own a MacBook you have to buy this.

Pretty sweet bluetooth keyboard. Works good. All the keys work and it almost feels like it isn't there, like a wondrous cloud of typing enjoyment. It's also sleek, which is cool, because it makes it more portable.

Couple things stand out .. 1. the keys i believe are slight smaller than older keyboard and there very short span in pressing keys. I personally find extremely easy to type on. 2. The shape of the keyboard is different than old. My old keyboards always ended up bending a little. So far, I am not experiencing any bending issue.

Already have a keyboard for my iMac but after getting the new trackpad that was Bluetooth decided I wanted the keyboard so I didn't have to worry about having batteries on hand, This works great I keep one cord plugged into electricity and when either Bluetooth keyboard or trackpad need charging I plug them in and turn off iMac.

Love this little keyboard. Feels great to type on, and doesn't take much space on the desk. And with the rechargeable battery, I can just charge it overnight with the lightning cable when it gets low.

My older external Apple keyboard had its battery compartment sealed shut when the batteries leaked. I picked up the Magic Keyboard a few weeks ago for my 2008 MacBook. It has worked out, and still is working out, great. The setup was easy via Bluetooth, the keyboard is quiet and very smooth to use. I have occasionally connected it to my iPad mini for a little use, as well. I have not yet needed to charge it, but I feel better knowing that this keyboard has its own battery built in and can be charged via a Lightning cable. All in all, great product.

This keyboard is the newest version of the keyboard that came with my 8 year old iMac. Unlike the original, this keyboard comes with a built in rechargeable battery. I charged it overnight when I first purchased it and haven’t had to recharge it yet after several weeks. I love the keyboard!

The keyboard is easy to pair with Bluetooth, good quality, and works great with the iPad Pro. The battery lasts a long time and uses a regular lighting cable charge. I use mine everyday.

I really like this keyboard. I like that the keys are quieter than the original keyboard with the MacBook Air and the regular computer keyboards. Connects well with Apple computer but a little more difficult to connect to PC. This and the Magic mouse don't have an indicator to show the power status -kind of annoying and hard to tell if it needs to be charged if using the PC (Apple you can scroll over the bluetooth status, but I would still rather there be an indicator on the item itself).
