Faulty refurbished iPhone

The phone died within 8 months. It wouldn’t turn on anymore or charge. I was not offered extended warranty when I purchased online in case stuff like this happened. Geek squad basically said I’m SOL.

Check "Battery Health" the instant it arrives...

An Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace the battery to restore full performance..." message. I spent over 30 minutes on chat; each agent just transferred me, so I was passed to six different agents and gave up. Phone support was slightly better, but none of their resolution options were helpful in my situation, so I am stuck with my "guaranteed to be fully functional" preowned phone with a faulty battery.
