I am travelling for 3 months and I brought my apple TV with me to stream video. I forgot to bring my remote. Eventhough apple makes a remote app that you can use to control apple tv, you need a real remote to control apple TV so you can register the app. So I had to buy another remote. The size and design of the remote is great for travelling. Maybe I will leave this one in my luggage!

We bought this as a replacement, having lost the one that came with the unit. We have no complaints about the remote, but I was dismayed to find that Apple TV no longer supported a direct link with YouTube.

was nice to have use of my apple tv again, because before i was unable to move to the right on the screen to select apps or videos to watch before.

This is so easy to lose that I don't care how it functions because it is just annoying how small apple made it. Other then that it does what it is suppose to do.

The remote is great; it comes with the same basic idea of most Apple products and the reason I love them - not complicated. Follow the instructions, pair it and you'll be set. When and if the battery fails - it's quite simple to replace and if you have problems the wonderful people at Best Buy will help you.... A great addition if you don't always want to use your phone or iPad.

This is a very good remote with less buttons with more options and very good stylish build aluminum one. Works immediateely after out from packet.

I really like the feel of this remote. It has really nice feedback when you click the buttons. In addition it allows you to control your Apple tv.

We washed the last apple remote and thought the tv remote would do the trick but now that we have the new remote realized it is definitely needed.

Excellent Apple Product as always. My only complaint is the battery. Seems to go out fast. I am on my 3rd remote and looking to purchase the new Apple TV. I hope the remotes are a little sturdier.

When I moved into my apartment with my new wife, my remote to my Apple TV disappeared. After fruitless searching I was able to use my iPhone's app to take the place of the remote but it wasn't very responsive. When this remote went on sale I went ahead and purchased it. It was very easy to get connected to my Apple TV and now I am able to navigate the menus much easier.

My old remote was used so much I wore out one of the buttons. What to do? Best Buy to my rescue. I had a replacement within just a few minutes.

Replaced my apple remote that was broken. Works great out of the box for my apple tv and I can control the volume on my 2014 macbook pro.

I love this product, but the person tried me and made me spend an extra 20 Dollars by saying that it does not come with a remote. IT DOES
