I wanted to use it as a remote for other Apple products, but it seems as though it really is only a replacement remote. Works great just not for what i need it for.

I use it for my Apple TV but if my apple laptop is open, it controls iTunes on there as well. This is really annoying because I'll be trying to navigate through Apple TV and all of a sudden a song will start blasting on my laptop. There is no way that I know of to turn this off. It's also easily lost and this is my second remote since I lost the first one. I spend so much time looking for this remote since my husband and toddler never put it back where it belongs! It's really small and thin.

I enjoyed the idea of the remote being simple with minimal buttons but the remote it self is too sensitive to touch

The apple remote needs serious improvement, in additiove to the fact it needs to be pointed directly to apple device , the battery dies quickly (cr 2032) , and the back button no longer works after 2 years of moderate use. i am just glad I have an amazon firestick. I use to love apple products, and still do in regards to macbook, but everything else has come up lacking lately.

This tiny remote was not so easy to use. I had to take it back because I could not get it to sync to my computer.

Small and compact. Works as advertized by Apple. It would be great if there were keyboard options.

Buttons are so small you tend to miss the one you want to press, great for kids.

Got It for my macbook. Great for music selections.

An apple remote for the Apple TV. Our dog loves them!! This is our 3rd one!

Lost my original remote. Bought this to replace it and it's more like a $2 remote. Distance was very short. Very basic controls. No bluetooth capabilities. Not worth its value.

It was not working with 2013 macbook pro and i was told by Best Buy person that it will work with that year's model.

What a waste of money.... i had to buy a replacement as my original fell in a glass of water! Make sure home sharing is on and pair your apple tv with an iphone or mac so you don't make the same mistake as me!

I bought this remote so I wouldn't have to use the remote app on my iPhone to control my Apple TV. I found it so frustrating to try to use that I put it on the shelf and went back to using my iPhone app.

Thus was a replacement for my first control. After a few months I needed to replace it as the buttons were no longer responsive. Overall product is good.

I would not recommend this product, Apple doesn't make all things great and this product is proof

There's not a whole lot to say about a remote, but this remote is pretty awesome. It does its job, and it does it properly. Setup was easy. You point the remote to the computer and hold down two buttons. Simple enough. My Macbook Pro picked it up with no problems. It comes with a battery already installed, so there is no need to purchase a seperate one until that one dies. Range is excellent. I have no problems using this across my apartment. It matches my MBP perfectly.

The new retina macbook does not have the sensor to be compatible with this remote. I was excited to use, but was unable as it won't work with my laptop and doesn't have a usb adaptor.
