Limited functionality to begin with, and only a few of those functions worked with my Mac Mini, using iTunes. Returned the item.

You have to use it close to the Apple TV.press it 5 times before it'll work.Don't sounds like a remote,duh!

I wish I had known, ahead of buying this item, that it would not work with my MacBook Pro

It is not listed that it works with Powerpoint - but it does. I was very happy with that. I took it far away and even pointed it in the opposite direction and the slides still advance. It was very easy to set up. You simply hold down two buttons and it works. Nice design as well. I thought 20 dollars was a decent price.

Not much you can say about something as simple as a 3-button remote...but all the things you could say about this are good. It looks very sharp and is very simple to use. Setup is a snap, you basically point it at your Mac and it's up and running. The range is very good! This works for me from all the way across my house, from one end to the other! This is not a gripe, but be forewarned if you are the scatter brained type. This remote is very small, and very easy to misplace. In my opinion, it wouldn't be worth the overall $40 investment to buy a replacement one. Very good item though. I would recommend it to anyone with a Mac that loves their iTunes! :)

Nice and handy when walking about the room and need to adjust the volume or change song without walking to computer. Works right out-of-the-box. And works great.

This product is a pretty good option for a remote to use with a Mac Mini. It's small, attractive, and decently priced. Two main issues: (1) During setup, the pairing process had some issues, i.e. the remote was simultaneously controlling the Mac Mini and my wife's laptop. After following the pairing instructions a few times without getting the desired results, we gave up and just turned off the IR port on the laptop. (2) It would be nice to change some of the default button behaviors. For example, pressing Menu always launches Apple's "Front Row" program, which I don't like to use.

I am using this for my Mac mini and it works great. Especially when watching movies.m

I often plug my plasma TV into my MacBook Pro laptop to watch downloaded movies & shows via free VLC video player and it's great that support for this Apple remote is built in. Now I can control the player with my laptop on the other side of the room without getting up. I'm sure there are many other uses for it but I haven't experimented much beyond this.

Lost my original remote. This is small and we lose it all the time. Thinking of taping it to a ruler. Regardless, set up is super easy and we love appleTV.

I love this little controller. I bought it to use with my iPod when I docked it or charged it, it works great. Then I bought an Apple TV and they had the same remote inside. Luckily I had bought this cause a lil child seemed to "misplace" my other one :)

I use this in combination with my macbook pro as a college instructor, and so far it has been helpful with delivering my powerpoint slides and does most of what I need/want it to do.

Battery lasts long, easy to handle and useful on any device (laptop, iPad)
