Very disappointing. It doesn't protect the iPad Pro at all. It's actually a waste of money

I don't feel this is enough protection. I don't like how it attaches. It is being returned.

Poor protection very cheap and flimsy would not let my iPad stand I had to prop it up. The cover for my IPad II was excellent this new cover for the iPad 2017 is a piece of junk, I returned it to the store

It does exactly what you would expect it to. As some others have mentioned it slightly overlaps the edges of the Pro - this is by design as Apple seems to assume you are going to also get the silicone back cover. With the back cover it fits perfectly to form a complete cover for the iPad Pro. One nice change in this generation is that the Smart Cover will magnically lock to the back of the iPad when it is folded open - although I don't like that my hands are against the felt the entire time it is flipped open as it will probably get dirty over time. I usually just pull it off when I am using the iPad and want it out of the way. The cover has a nice feel that matches the back shield cover. Overall it is exactly what you would expect. It and the back shield add up to a ridiculous price though, coming in at about $110 for little more than scratch protection.

Very cheap cover which only covers one half of the iPad, leaving the back unprotected. Received one as a gift and promptly returned it.

I have the iPad Air 2, was recommended this case at Best Buy,even tho it didn't work with iPad had to return the case.

Would rather have a fully enclosed case that also protected the back. Was a gift.

Thought this was the full case. Turns out it is just the face cover and was useless for protection on my trip

Apple has cheapened this item. Does not protect the I'pad sufficiently.

If you have the money to buy a 600$ iPad surely you have enough to buy the smart cover and silicone case with it. Pricey? yes, but well worth it. The red is vibrant so you don't lose track or the tablet, and the case cover combo is a ridiculously thin yet protective solution for the tablet. Only other thing I would recommend is get a glass screen shield. Those 3 products and you will be set to go.

It is easy to use and protects the ipad also serve as a stand.

This Smart Cover Works with iPad Pro 9.7. The cover does run slightly wider than the surface of the iPad. By having the apple Silicone Case that covers the back of the iPad everything will be flushed together in the right spot. Without the silicone case I agree with a lot of people the Smart Cover looks sloppy and even counterfeit, Apple is I guess forcing people that are picky to spend the extra $70 on the case. In an ideal world I would never cover my iPad but here on planet earth this expensive combo is the best to my liking. Thin, sleek, professional but you pay for it.

This cover is light weight and protects the screen of the iPad well.

I bought the front cover/silicone case combo because I wanted something detachable to remove the unnecessary added weight from the tablet while reading for extended periods of time. I searched for other cheaper options, but they added too much bulky weight to the tablet. Only downside is the price.

I usually get the after market covers but could not find one for the new model so I got the name brand. Well worth he extra cost. Durable, easy to use and great feel.

You have to have the case for this to really work well. Together they make a nice clamshell that is very thin and protective.

I bought this as a protection mechanism mostly and stand. Its slightly bigger than the screen so it hangs off a bit and its also flimsy when in stand mode. Not that great unless you get it on sale or have no other alternatives.

i had one for my old tablet and love it so i natually got one for my new tablet. did not like that i have to buy the top and the bottom separate unlike the last one. not sure why that is but as long as it turns the tablet off and protects it, i am good.

Even I took this item back to the store, I was looking for something different, this is a great product with great quality.
