Ok this is a simple review To start with its very important to know that this cover is NOT protective at all (It will only protect your screen from scratches) It is also a genuine Apple made cover so of course it's ridiculously expensive But despite this, It is nonetheless an ESSENTIAL part of an iPad The reason for this is that it is stylish and elegant and completely compliments the great form and design of the device It's thin and light and actually cleans the glass when you move it It also wakes your iPad up when you open it and puts it to sleep when you close it. Holding the iPad with a Smart Cover just FEELS right most important- it was introduced by Steve jobs himself way back when the Ipad 2 came out so if it's good enough for Steve it should be good enough for us

As all Apple products are, the Smart Cover for iPad Pro fits well, performs great, looks perfect, lasts a long time, but is expensive. This cover is sold separately from the protective case, which only makes sense if someone doesn't want the sticker shock of paying $110 for a protective solution for their iPad. It wouldn't make sense to have the cover without the case and same goes for having the case without the cover. The combination is the best out there for fit and finish, so just grin and bear it because you really shouldn't have an iPad without a case.

Like any Apple product it just works! Love the way it fits and protection provided. Big downside is that you have to buy the Apple smart case if you also want protection for the rest of your device. Apple used to make an all in one case and cover all for a more reasonable price. Summary: you will not regret this purchase but is a big expense given that you only get protection for half of the device.

When I first bought this cover I assumed it came with a back case, but being me I forgot how overpriced apple products can be. It's just the magnetic screen flap. I bought the back shell separately. Anyways, I don't regret purchasing it since it matches my rose gold iPad and I use it to hold up the iPad daily. It is also nice that it automatically locks the screen when you close it. The only complaint is that it will get very dirty real fast. I also think the magnet is slowly wearing down it sometimes randomly falls over when I'm typing, and it used to not do that.

I selected this case mostly because I didn’t have the need for the integrated keyboard that’s in the Smart Keyboard Cover. Many of the 3rd party cases I found either were designed specifically for the iPad Pro, or they contained a lot of extras that I didn’t want. One was so thick that using the TouchID sensor would have been very difficult. It’s already saved my IPP from an spilled coffee incident. Pros: * Good protection for screen. * Made specifically for the iPad Pro 9.7” — not a series like other cases that may not fit as well. * Fits well with the Smart Case. * Microfiber lining helps reduce the finger smudges on the screen. * Magnetic activation of sleep/wake and keeps cover in place when open or closed. * Magnetic attachment makes installation super easy. Con: * Is no longer integrated with a full case so protection of the rest of iPad requires separate purchase.

I love that it's slim, lightweight, not bulky, folds completely flat against the back of the tablet, yet also stands securely (horizontal position only). I also like that the fact that the front and back covers are sold separately and can be different colors. However, the price point is almost prohibitive. You'll spend $100 for both parts. Though they are attractive and sturdy, that's utterly ridiculous for silicone covers. Lastly, the back cover must have a slightly different coating as it doesn't show fingerprints nearly as much as the front cover does. While it can be cleaned, I've found that you have to fully remove it from the device and use soap and water.

Does what it is supposed to do. Covers and protects my ipad. A little pricey for having to buy the back part of case separately, however, the folding design is nice. I also like the sleep/wake feature when you open and close your case. Seems sturdy. Overall good purchase.

I like the pink sand color with my rose gold iPad pro and it protects the front of my device well- no scratches or anything. I do not like that it does not provide any protection for the back or sides and that the material could probably attract dirt easily. It does have the ability to sit up in 2 different positions which is nice if you are watching something on your iPad. I don't know if I would buy another of these cases because I do like a lot of protection but I am sure the front flip style case could work with some cases.

This cover attaches easily and works great. Only gave it 4 stars because I don't like that I had to buy the top and bottom cover separately.

This is the front cover I bought to go along with the back cover. With all the covers to chose from that wake up your IPad that are a whole lot cheaper. Would not recommend

First of all Apple, why would you not offer the smart cover in basic black?While it's insanely expensive my device feel safely protected, but at $130 for both the front the smart cover and the silicone case it's a pretty big expense. Other covers and cases I've seen on the market don't match the quality of this one from Apple, so I conceded defeat and just purchased the charcoal gray, but I'm not happy with it.

Not quite what I wanted so I returned it. It did its job and was aesthetically beautiful but I didn't really feel it did anything special. The different color options were a nice touch. I ended up going with the Apple Keyboard case which has essentially the same aesthetic(minus a little extra bulk), but with the added functionality of a keyboard.

This cover is much like all their other ones durable and does a good job as a stand. Stronger magnets than the cover I have for my iPad mini 2, and the only downside is the fact that the magnets don't create a place the Apple Pencil can tether to... Would have been a good feature... But it just does what it's intended use is so it's good.

This is the best cover I was able to find and I like the color choices but it's so expensive. You can get a whole case for the price of it. That being said it does have the magnets in it which keep it attached and held in place. It also keeps it minimal. I combined this with the case too for full coverage.

I use this front cover with the Apple back cover. They work really well together. My only complaint is I think the price is a bit high. I would recommend a darker color, as it is not the easiest material to keep clean and looking new. I have the Midnight Blue and it is a really nice color.

This is the perfect cover for the back of the iPad, apple did a great job designing this cover, it makes me feel like my iPad is actually safe and secure, even when the kids are using it. It's just more expensive than I think it should be, don't see why it's $20 more than that smart cover.

This cover is the best I've ever used. It fits perfectly (it should since it's Apple's own design) and the bonus is that the inside of it does a great job of cleaning the screen. Just be aware that this is a COVER only and does not include anything to protect the back of the iPad. It doesn't leave a lot of options for propping up the iPad - basically there's only one position for it and it works great if it's on a firm surface like a table, but not so great in your lap.

Works well and the dark color hides scuffs. No complaints.

Another quality product from Apple but, like a lot of their stuff, you will pay a premium for the Apple logo. Cover works well and provides good protection to the iPad Pro. Wish it would cover front and back for the price.....

This cover effectively protects the screen from scratches and it rolls up nicely. Unfortunately it does not also protect the back of my iPad. On the plus side it is lightweight.
