    I recently updated my iPad mini 2 to the new mini 5. At the same time I updated from the cover with the Apple Smart Cover. I was not happy with it as it still left the back of the iPad exposed and I found it difficult to hold because of the slickness. I also found the magnetic attachment to the edge of the iPad often didn’t stay secure. I did appreciate how the cover folded into a “handle” but that didn’t overcome the difficulty of the slick back entirely. I ended up replacing it with a Speck cover which the iPad “snaps” into.
