Pros: thin, accurate, easy to type on, no battery to charge, very portable and lightweight. Cons: no backlight or function keys, limited viewing angles, expensive.

This keyboard folio case is beautifully made. The magneting aspect is super cool and perfect for the case. I only wish that the magnets were a little stronger because sometimes when I’m leaving keyboard mode to close it the iPad will slip out but that’s only minor. And I wish the Apple Pencil wasn’t left outside of the case while it’s charging. Impossible to travel with the pencil charging on the iPad while it’s in a bag or something. It will get knocked loose.

This allows me to take much more advantage of all the iPad has to offer. Works seamlessly and allows me to actually work and respond much easier and get more done than with just the touchscreen. Protects it well, too, but be careful because it not the strongest magnet and can still slip out fairly easily, so just don't count on it to be like an Otterbox and you will love it!!

The fact that I don’t have to worry about charging this keyboard, or having lagging issues or connection issues, really makes this purchase worth it. The keys are nice and sleek, and if for some reason it got dirty, it’s super easy to wipe off. There’s no spacing in between the keys, so even if I spilled something on it, it won’t damage my keyboard.

This is going to be a short review for a simple product. First things first, the Apple keyboard is great. Its keys are excellent, the iOS option keys are there and work perfectly. Apple has done a great job at keeping this keyboard / cover (folio) combination thin and easy to use. Having had the earlier version for my previous iPad Pro, neither of them let me down. This version is a bit better as it had a back cover. Here is where we, as Apple’s customers, should insist on some improvements. We need a backlight. The keyboard is excellent when you can see it but let’s face it, we’re not always using the device in a well lit room or sunlit deck. I immediately upgraded to the new version of the pencil however, even though the magnet is good, the Apple Keyboard Folio does not protect it in any way. If you leave the pencil there and then store the device in your backpack, there is a good chance it is going to fall off and be sitting in the bottom or your bag or, worse yet, you don’t realize it fell off of the iPad as you were walking down the street and it is gone forever. Putting it simply, if you don’t need the backlight or a more secure way to store a pencil, this keyboard is the one for you and I highly recommend it. For me, traveling on a plane, sitting in my family room at night or in a dark lit area anywhere, I need the backlight. I also don’t want to lose my expensive but very useful pencil...

I was hesitant and spend way too much time and energy researching alternatives. I finally bought an open box to save money and I haven't regretted it once. Easy to use and works great. Easy to type on and very slim. Don't buy this for super protection, but do buy it because it is another seamless Apple product that just works.

Wow, this cover is perfect. Yes it does make your iPad much thicker but how easy it is to attach it with the magnets. It protects your iPad and if you need to write or work it’s really easy, really comfortable to use and it replaces a laptop easily!

This makes the iPad Pro pretty much a laptop replacement. Protects the entire device, easy to use, no charging necessary. Looks great and i love the keyboard. My words per minute are almost identical on this versus a laptop

The keys are easy to tap. It fits the iPad well, with the keys on one side of it to keep them out of the way while holding the iPad. It provides protection for the iPad while keeping the thinness and lightness advantages. It is rugged.

This is the first time I have bought an Apple Keyboard case. I was never a fan of the cover and separate keyboard of the past. So, being a full case was a plus if nothing else. With that said, I think the keyboard works great and pairs well with the new iPad. It’s very, very easy to setup - place on the iPad and go! No charging, no pairing. Easy. They keyboard really does improve connectively. Using my iPad heavily for work, I rarely carry my computer with me anymore.

I love the quality and feel of this product, and especially like that it does not require a battery. It just works the way you would want it to. Apple products command a premium price are usually not the best value which is my only gripe.

Beautiful design but be warned that this does not really protect your iPad - sides are still very exposed. However, because the case provides minimal protection it also adds minimal bulk. Keyboard is great for typing, trackpad is wonderful to use and it’s easy to remove the iPad since it attaches magnetically - which you’ll need to do if you ever want to use the iPad in portrait layout since there’s no way to fold the case back. Only other negative is that sometimes the iPad stops responding to the keyboard - removing from the case and putting it back on fixes it right away.

Is the perfect accesory for my iPad Pro 11 inches. Is super comfortable, light and the best tool to complete my iPad Pro 11 and be more productive. Best of all: no need to be charged like traditional keyboards. Simple pair it by the smart conector and done! It receive the energy from the iPad Pro, but it doesn’t drain the battery of the iPad. The only recommendation that I have is that the next keyboard, may have backlights, so it will be best of best.

Holds the charge very well, easy to pair, good grip and excellent protection

It may very well be the most expensive keyboard/case combo for the iPad Pro, but for me, it's worth every penny. Touch typing on the screen is something that has kept me away from the iPad line for a long time. On the iPhone, sure, it's no problem. But for me, on the iPad, to get the full value out of the platform, I've never liked the typing on screen. This keyboard has a great feel to it when typing. It took an hour or so to get used to it and now I'm a huge fan. Being able to use the same keyboard shortcuts as I use on my MacBook Pro has made my iPad Pro even more valuable to me and I don't see that happening without this keyboard. One thing that I thought would bother me is when folding the case back (i.e. you're not using the keyboard), the keys are on exposed on the back side of the iPad and you're touching them. They don't work when the case is in this position, but I thought it would bug me to hold it like this, but it doesn't. The magnets in the cover are very strong and unless you're really trying to break them free, they're likely to keep the iPad in place just fine. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend anyone to pick it up and try it out. You'll always have Best Buy's return policy to return it in a few days if you don't like it.

I really like this keyboard. I tried the Zagg, Logitech, and even Brydge.... but in the end I just came back to the Smart Keyboard. Even though the competitor keyboards were pretty impressive, and offered many shortcut and fun keys that the Smart Keyboard is missing... they still don’t beat the lightweight and ease of portability of the Smart Keyboard; as well as the seamless connection between the iPad and the keyboard

I bought this to use with my new iPad when I didn't want to lug my MacBook Pro around, especially on business meetings. It works beautifully as a cover and the keyboard has nice, soft keys and feels similar to my MacBook. It takes a little getting used to the keyboard feel when you just flip it back to hold the iPad in your hand but a really great item for portability and ease of use.

This is extremely light and very sleek. Molds nicely to my 11in ipad pro. If it had a backlit keyboard it would be perfect.
