The smart keyboard was a brilliant invention, avoiding the cumbersome, power-dependent bluetooth keyboards. This is now improved with a back cover, which the previous generation lacks. The feel and responsiveness of the keys is great, the cover adds very little bulk, and it will permit more people to use the iPad as an alternative to a laptop.

But then again it’s Apple where every product made well, just works. And this keyboard is no exception turning your iPad into a laptop. Why take up valuable screen real estate minimizing your work space when you can turn your iPad into a familiar and comfortable work station similar to your desktop or laptop? Highly recommended!

Typical detachable keyboard. Easy to set up and use. Not much bounce when typing due to its low profile design, so definitely not a real keyboard, but if I needed that I would just get a full size BT keyboard. I like that it is light enough for carrying around anywhere, and doesn't leave rectangular smudges on the glass screen. It's a cover with keys. works for me.

I love this keyboard: it is responsive to keystrokes and provides great protection for my iPad. It isn’t the best protection against falls; it does protect against scratches. The viewing angles are limited but I must say it performs well when placed on my lap as I sit outside and try to get some work completed.

Overall I think the Smart Keyboard folio is nice. Still wish they had a touch pad.

I bought this keyboard before the Apple Magic keyboard was released but I'm sticking with it as a keyboard is a secondary use for me on my tablet. I only break it out occasionally so It does just what I need. It is a little pricey but it's difficult to get away from the Apple "Tax". I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought this keyboard along with a Logitech brand. I liked the portability of the Apple keyboard and how thin it is. Also the magnetic connection is so convenient for detaching when you don’t want the keyboard attached. I like the typing aspect more on the Logitech keyboard because it feels more like a real keyboard.

Keyboard is great. I use it for work note taking.

I like my keyboard. It doesn’t duplicate the larger PC keypad but it is convenient in lieu of. The case really doesn’t protect the iPad in the event of dropping it as there is very little protection since it only snaps on by a magnet and corners are exposed, but I believe the intent here is for the keyboard features, not protection.

This is the key to making the iPad feel more like a laptop—especially for typing longer documents. It's light and connects so much easier than the previous model (which I had with the 2015 iPad Pro). If you come from a Mac, most keyboard shortcuts are the same, and many more to learn so you can go about without touching the screen as much.

I absolutely love my new iPad Pro and the Smart Keyboard makes it even easier to work with. I have found that I rather enjoy typing on a keyboard again rather than a touch screen. With this keyboard I once again have a full screen to view. The integration is great and I appreciate that it also acts as a good cover for the iPad.
