Apple really upped their game with this keyboard. The keyboards for the previous generations were garbage and always having connection issues. So far this is great! It is a lot more stable and doesn't just flop around. It is even comfortable just on your lap.

It took a second to get used to having an actual keyboard so handy. And if you don't need it, just flip it over. The feel and functionality of the keyboard is correct. I was expecting it to feel flimsy, but was pleasantly surprised that it has a very solid, nice feel to it. I can't imagine my iPad without it now.

Better in almost every way. Front and back protection. Easier to open and fold into place.

Best keyboard for the new iPad, 100% connection and functionality, but at a hefty price.

I love my Apple keyboard. It’s made by Apple and it makes my iPad setup perfect. There’s so many shortcuts you can get used to to make the experience even better. These shortcuts make me wish I got the keyboard before the Apple Pencil. There are definitely cheaper keyboards out there, but I love Apple’s best.

No need to charge and it stays in place very well!

It’s Apple branded, so if you want the thing that goes with it, you buy this. That’s why I gave it five stars and if I had to do it all over again, I buy it again. But, it does a little to protect the iPad Pro. The edges are not protected, and you can probably buy a better Bluetooth keyboard. They’re aftermarket ones built-in to the protective case for half the price. But it’s not Apple. And I don’t know of any that have the magnetic functionality making contact with those pins on the iPad… So it’s like a wired keyboard. And it’s Apple so it’s the thing that Apple made. So if you want the Apple brand you have to buy this one. I dropped mine, and it fell on a corner that wasn’t protected so my keyboard stopped working. Something to consider that if you buy this don’t ever drop it.

The only drawback to this case is the keyboard is exposed when you fold the keyboard open. The previous case for the iPad Pro had a part that folded over to help protect it. So far this hasn't caused any damage to the keyboard (I've only had it for a couple weeks) but you should be careful to not damage any of the keys. Otherwise, this case/keyboard pairs well with the iPad Pro.

This keyboard has me torn. It essentially doubles the thickness and weight of the device which was a major turn off upon attaching it to the iPad. It really takes away from the sleek and insanely thin device. That being said, it feels a lot better to use than I anticipated and it serves as a wonderful cover to protect the device. My review is only lower than 5 stars due to the bulk it adds.

A must have if you have a  Ipad Pro 12.9. So much easier to use than the other smart keyboards on the market, and with the built in mouse below the keyboard eliminates the clutter on your desk. Wise purchase decision. a little pricey but well worth the money spent

Great keyboard and love that it provides some protection. Nice and sleek.

This is a must have accessory for the iPad Pro. It's a perfect match and fairly easy to type on for the size. It holds the pencil on top and charges it as well. The new magic keyboard looks great, but the price is ridiculous. I would stick this one for the price/value.

Despite the negative reviews I’ve read, I decided to purchase this as I do quite a bit of typing. The iPad is very securely held in place and it is great how it locks into 1 of 2 positions and automatically activated the keyboard. No Bluetooth required! The keyboard delivers an acceptable typing experience.

There are a lot of third party keyboards out there and some aren't up to snuff. This keyboard is great the way apple redesigned the connections to be on the body rather then the pivot point was genius. If you want protection of the corners however this case is not for you, this is keyboard is not meant to be a protective one but to be a productive one.

Essential add on for the iPad Pro. It helped me go from handwriting notes to typing so quickly and efficiently. I was worried I would have an issue with the iPad not staying in the case because it’s magnetic, but it ended up not being a problem.

The smart keyboard folio is functional and looks good. The magnetic attachments work well and the 2 viewing angles for the iPad are adequate. The keys are quite responsive and make for a reasonably comfortable typing experience over short stretches. The Microsoft surface pro keyboards score over this in terms of typing comfort as well as the inclusion of a trackpad

I love how light this keyboard is. I tried some of the other options for a more laptop feel - but they all added too much weight. I type on this just fine and use an external mouse when needed. Love the smart connection and no need for blue tooth.

Typing on this keyboard is better than typing on the screen. However, if you want to use your iPad to read an ebook, newspaper or magazine, when you fold the cover back, you endup handling the keys. The previous design was better because thekeyboard was hidden when you held the iPad to read

This was the only choice for iPad powered keyboard. All third party keyboards were Bluetooth with separate less reliable battery power. The keys are fully rubber enclosed, so no MacBook butterfly keyboard stickiness here. Magnetic back attachment is flimsy at best. The iPad can easily slip off and fall. It needs to have a stronger magnet.
