Apple makes great products and this is a good case/keyboard, however for the price it didn't include a back cover. If it were less money I would give it a higher star rating.

This makes the iPad even more useful. Easy to use.

Turns my I pad into a laptop and provides a cover.

Only issue is the magnet detaches pretty easily from the quick connect port on the side and when using with letterbox symmetry, keyboard has to be propped up or it doesn't work. Others wise feels and looks great.

For at least the first 48 hours, I could find only fault with the Smart Keyboard, and intended to return it. After a week, I decided to keep it, but continue looking for a replacement. After a month, I still have complaints (no backlighting), but I'm mostly impressed. The typing feel is surprising solid, and I actually prefer it to the Macbook's keyboard. It's probably as light as it can be while remaining stable. It's missing media and function keys, but the reliability of the Smart Connector and associated lack of a battery means I'm content to occasionally reach up to the screen to tweak the volume. A better iPad keyboard can definitely be made, but until it comes along, the Smart Keyboard can handle the job.

I was skeptical on if I would like this keyboard or not. My fears were that it was too thin, the feel of typing, and if the cover offered any really protection. After having it for over a month, I am thrilled with it! I prefer to type on this keyboard compared to my laptop or desktop keyboards. Having a keyboard to use really makes my iPad Pro even more of a joy to use. I honestly cant imagine using my iPad without this keyboard. My only gripe would be that it is quite pricey. Is it worth it? That’s really a call you will have to make for yourself. I did go to an Apple Store before I purchased this keyboard and played around on their floor model in order to get some idea of how it would look, work, and feel.

I really was sold on putting a keyboard on an iPad. After using it it really is convent. The keys work very well. As a cover the keyboard is hidden, adding only a little weight. Add whole new demension to the iPad.

I’m at a loss for Apple’s oversight of a home button on the keyboard to activate Siri and toggle between launcher. The original unit I purchased is believed to have an issue with the smart connector because I have to hold my mouth a certain way to make it work but when its firing on all cylinders it works great.

Perfect size. I like a little more key board space than just using the touch screen and this keyboard does the job. Also using the keyboard let's the whole screen be used for viewing images and my text.

The sales lady sold me on the idea that having an Apple keyboard would save battery life as compared to a Logitech or any other type of comparable keyboard. However, after using the keyboard for 10 days, I did not feel I had enough protection for the IPad. I returned it and bought a Logitech keyboard which is backlit (which is nice when using at night) but the keyboard has a front and back cover. The protection is offers is what I knew I needed. Although I rate the product as a 4 stars, if you seek an Apple product without needing protection for your IPad, this is a good product for you.

This keyboard/cover combination is much better than I had expected. Trying out the keyboard in the store, I thought that it would be acceptable. After some use, I find the keyboard to be very good. The throw on the keys is very short, but there is enough movement that I get good feedback when touch typing. I was also concerned that I wouldn’t be able to type while the keyboard was on my lap, but I’m doing it right now, with no problems. The things I would downgrade are the lack of any function keys, either generic or iPad specific and it can only be set up for a single position for typing, or as a stand. Overall, this is very good, and could use some minor improvements.

Apple did a lot of thinking when they put this keyboard/rest together. You can very easily remove it with a slight twist and pull. Automatically shuts down your iPad when you close the cover.

This keyboard case is more expensive than most, but is well worth it. As long as you are spending a lot of money on an Apple iPad, you should invest in the best keyboard and cover available.

The optional Smart Keyboard really enhances the utility of the iPad Pro device. I find it easy to type on, adds minimal extra weight, and serves as a cover for the iPad when you're not using it.

This is a pretty good cover that also has a built in keyboard. The magnet could be stronger to hold cover better when open, and I wish it had a kick stand to use in portrait mode.
