It works very well and uses battery from iPad itself. It does come off the i-pad to easy though.its back lit which was a plus for me as well .

Very light, responsive, and slim keyboard. Have learned to type fast on this thing. Highly recommend it if you don’t mind the back being exposed or find a back cover to iPad.

Well, I read many reviews on this keyboard before I purchased it. The reviews worried me because many people said it was very fragile and broke in about a year or less. The warrantee was for a year. Despite the reviews, I still loved the features that you get with the Apple keyboard, so I waited and waited. Now, Apple has recognized the problem and has agreed to warrantee their keyboard for three years. Suddenly, it was safe to order my favorite keyboard. Apple's keyboard offers a cover of both the front and back of the iPad, plus a keyboard that uses the iPad's power (which means you don't have to charge it separately). It also folds so that you can type on your lap (most only allow you to type on a desk with the screen tilted too far back so that it would topple over if it were on your lap). Also, the iPad keyboard from Apple can be quickly and easily removed from the iPad (another feature that is not easy to find on all keyboards, and none have all of these features but Apple). This means that when I want to read in bed, I don't have to have the keyboard attached to do so. Yet, when I want to set it up to go again, its one click away from being attached again. Oila! Did I mention that the Apple keyboard is the quietest of all I have tested? Important as I type notes in church and you can actually hear typing in a quiet congregation with only a pastor speaking. I'm also pleased with the keys being "closed" so that you can not get crumbs under the keys (a pet peave of mine). Yes, I would recommend it to a friend and did so already.

I bought this because its a cover and full keyboard easy to use and works great with the Ipad pro.

We gave this away at our holiday party. The winner said it was nice. Did mention it would have been better if you could use iPad in upright position without keyboard out

I like this over two others I have now tried and returned. My ONLY complaint is that there's no backlight for the keys... I'm sure Apple will release an updated version..

I have this Smart Keyboard myself and purchased it as a companion gift with an iPad Pro. This keyboard maximizes the use options of an iPad Pro. I highly recommend it!

a little heavy and awkward but that's what you get when you combine a keyboard with a case. it serves both it's purposes flawlessly and i love using actual keys to type.

I love this keyboard. The typing is incredibly smooth, and it is so convenient that it attaches to the IPP magnetically for easy on and off. It's pricey but worth it.

This keyboard makes the 12.9 apple iPad a work of functional art. It has a great feel and easy to use. The keyboard folds up over the screen and the angle is perfect for use on my lap...yes it is strong enough to support the unit literally as a lap machine...very cool and a nice tool. I was skeptical of buying the larger size iPad Pro, but this keyboard makes it work for me. Highly recommended.

the keyboard works perfectly with the ipad 12.9. I set it up with my wireless printer and i have no problem printing. also typing is much faster with the key board

My hands are small so the keyboard is perfect for me. People with large hands might have an issue with the keyboard. It is a lifesaver for work though. I use this all of the time for work. Also, it is fairly comfortable to sit on my lap when I am just reading things. I will say that the angle of the ipad can be annoying. There is usually a glare on my screen when I use it as there is only one angle that it will support.

Feel and typing experience with the keyboard is great. My only worry is how long it will hold up since the joint connecting to the iPad pro doesn't look as robust as I would like.

There were a few other keyboards to choose from. This is the apple product keyboard and for that reason I find it to be the most reliable. It also has the magnetic connecters that connects it to your iPad Pro for a perfect fit. For those reasons I recommend this product. Also the keys are easy to type on, not too small, but a perfect functional size. I write my schoolwork papers on it all the time. 10/10

Lightweight, and easy to use when flipping between typing and using the Apple pencil.

I don’t know how I’ve lived without it so far. Turns the iPad Pro into a laptop. The connection is finicky on occasion. Just be sure to line the connections up
