I got this keyboard to a student at home and he loves it, he can use it to switch between using the iPad Pro screen to draw his designs or go with the keyboard for different tasks, and it doubles as screen protector. Doesn't need any extra batteries since it's powered by the iPad Pro. Great accessory!

I love this keyboard! its extremely thin and doesn't add much weight to the Ipad. The magnets grip right on the ipad and i don't ever worry about it falling off. They keys are super responsive and has a soft suede like material on the other side so it doesn't scratch the screen of the Ipad.

This is the thinnest keyboard option for the ipad 12.9. I offers very little protection and only covers the screen when closed. My deal breaker on this product was the the fact that the screen can only be used in one position for typing. Keyboard action felt fine after a short "getting used" to period.

After a few weeks of use the keyboard is not always functioning. The iPad recognizes that the keyboard is connected, but will not show any of the typing. Disconnecting and re-connecting the keyboard does not solve the problem. I usually have to restart the iPad to solve the situation.

I am very happy with this keyboard. The keys have actual travel and feel very good. When not used you can fold the keyboard away and it doubles as a screen protector. The only drawback I have noticed is that the keyboard is not backlit and is a little hard to see sometimes depending on the lighting.

I use the keypad to check my e-mail through my Ipad. I do like the interchangeability to store and use the keypad. Apple made a great product however once should check to make sure their hand size and keystroke ability will not get encumbered for the keypad is smaller. Try it in the store first!

I really need backlit in keyboard. Otherwise it is good and looks durable

My MacBook Pro drowned of tea overconsumption. I needed to replace it quickly. Walked in, checked with service desk to ensure they couldn't fix it and I was better off buying new. Grab a new one. In and out and back to my looming deadlines in less than an hour. Thank you, Best Buy. You're the best!

I considered other keyboards that we're backlit, but they were bulkier and heavy. To me the value of this iPad Pro is it's (i) potential as a laptop substitute, which has been greatly enhanced with a keyboard, and (ii) portability, which is maintained with this keyboard. Works great for me!!

I purchased this keyboard to work with my IPad Pro. It works but sometimes the keyboard connection doesn’t always make contact with the iPad....which means I have to undock it and then put it back in to ensure the connection is firm. Frustrating sometimes...

I had trouble getting it to dock correctly with the iPad.

I've always tried different options for keyboards. This keyboard just feels right. Easy to type, feels good, looks good. It just works. It is pricey and those who are price conscious will need to think twice of course but if you've got the money by all means it doesn't get better than this!

Works pretty well, occasionally have to remove and reattach it because I can't get one of the keys to respond. I certainly like having the added functionality combined with the iPad. It adds weight along with the hard case from Apple, but it's worth the protection and peace of mind.

Just like most Apple products this case / keyboard fits perfectt and isn't at all bulky. It attaches via a magnet and is surprisingly strong. This case doesn't offer much corner and back protection so if you drop it with this case on chances are something will break or get damaged.

My Smart Keyboard 12.9 worked great from the very start. It is nice that power comes from the iPad. It did take me almost a week to learn how to open and correctly fold the stand. The only thing I wish was different would be a lighted keyboard for low light situations.

Keyboard is great, especially for apps who have yet to adjust the on screen keyboard size for the new iPad Pro's larger screen. Like with all other Apple products, it just works. The one drawback is that it adds more weight to the device that is already heavier than an iPad Air.

This keyboard is great, but could be a bit better. It would be nice if it protected to back of your iPad. If your not use to the Mac keyboard commands there is a slight learning curve. The keyboard is actually more useful then apple says and works seamlessly.

So you can buy ones that work as well but are thicker or wherever. Apple hit a home run with a self- charging, fully functional keyboard that can quickly detach and reattach, is also protective of the screen etc. my only negative is it is awkward to open up to use.

I bought this for design work and entertainment. The screen size is exceptional. I like the brilliance, color quality, and clarity. There's no strain on the eyes. It's very versatile. The only drawback is the weight. It's a little heavier than expected, but otherwise a great buy.
