Purchased this drive for my mother-in-law's new iMac. She wanted the option of an optical drive for watching movies, burning picture discs etc. The drive installed flawlessly, operates as expected, and matches the iMac quite nicely. The only downside that I had is that Apple doesn't have any Blu-Ray drives, but I believe that has to do with licensing issues. As this is the only device that had to be physically plugged into her iMac, the external form factor doesn't create any issues with cable clutter, as it's only a single USB cable.

The external drive works very well -- we travel by train and like to watch movies I could not watch movies on my Mac ProNotebook because it does not have a DVD -- so this is perfect.

This was part of a Christmas gift that included a MAC desktop. It is very simple to set up and I've had no problems using it. Right now, I'm using it to creat photo disks.

I stayed in the Apple yard with this purchase. There was no problem hooking up and being able to read a couple dvds.

This CD drive is quite small and easy to transport ,but it does make quite a bit of noise. It reads CDs in a timely manner and completes the functions you paid for it to do.

Satisfied with this super drive. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. And looks great on my iMac stand. Have used about 10 times since purchase with no issues.

I like to put my cds on my hard drive. This does it quickly!

PURCHASED FOR MY DAUGHTER AT COLLEGE. HER MAC PRO DID NOT HAVE A CD DRIVE. SUPERDRIVE TO THE RESCUE. PLUG IT IN AND IT WORKS. BURN CD'S, BACKUP. EASY

A little bit on he expensive side, but then its very much compatible with apple products and its double layer, which is something I really needed.

Having a MacBook air this works great! Have had no issues with it at all! I will say though I use it way less than I thought I would.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro that is thinner and much lighter that my older model (9yrs) this is a better option of getting MacBook Pro with internal DVD drive.

This is a great external CD/DVD device. Easy to use and performs as suggested in the specifications. It is a bit slower than a normal in CPU drive.

I love the convienance and small storable size of this. The finish matches our laptop and is durable. We kept the box for storage and it keeps it dust free and cord organized.

Needed a CD/DVD drive for may MacBook Air to install an app. So far so good. Had a little difficulty figuring out which side was up but, plugged it into the USB it worked well.

Simplest install, plug it in and it works. My old MCSE windows days, drivers, conflicts, pay extra for OS upgrades - are now a distant and fading memory!!! Apple is THE BEST.

This was my first experience with the Super Drive. I am not tech savvy so I thought I would have to find how to use it. I did not have to do anything complicated, just plug and go.

For an inexpensive duplicating device, this works pretty well. I had a few instances where it didn't seem to record the mp3 data on the disc, but overall it's fine. Just double check it transferred.

Great addition to the Mac. Can burn music CD's again. Wish my iMac came with a built in drive. Low profile.

Bought it to burn CDs and DVDs with my new MacBOOK PRO. It runs very quiet and faster than I thought it would. Very pleased with the purchase at a good sale price!
