The external drive works very well -- we travel by train and like to watch movies I could not watch movies on my Mac ProNotebook because it does not have a DVD -- so this is perfect.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro that is thinner and much lighter that my older model (9yrs) this is a better option of getting MacBook Pro with internal DVD drive.

Purchased this drive for my mother-in-law's new iMac. She wanted the option of an optical drive for watching movies, burning picture discs etc. The drive installed flawlessly, operates as expected, and matches the iMac quite nicely. The only downside that I had is that Apple doesn't have any Blu-Ray drives, but I believe that has to do with licensing issues. As this is the only device that had to be physically plugged into her iMac, the external form factor doesn't create any issues with cable clutter, as it's only a single USB cable.

Needed to download some CD’s so I purchased for my new MacBook Air. Easy to use and was a great purchase.

I made that mistake! Had to exchange for this Apple. SOOO quiet compared to the cheaper brand. Absolutely recommend this without any hesitation.

If you have a Mac book pro this is a great buy. I needed to transfer an audio cd to iCloud and was easy with this drive.

I love the convienance and small storable size of this. The finish matches our laptop and is durable. We kept the box for storage and it keeps it dust free and cord organized.

Needed a CD/DVD drive for may MacBook Air to install an app. So far so good. Had a little difficulty figuring out which side was up but, plugged it into the USB it worked well.

Bought it to burn CDs and DVDs with my new MacBOOK PRO. It runs very quiet and faster than I thought it would. Very pleased with the purchase at a good sale price!

Simplest install, plug it in and it works. My old MCSE windows days, drivers, conflicts, pay extra for OS upgrades - are now a distant and fading memory!!! Apple is THE BEST.

This is a good product. The only problem I had with it was that you can only eject a movie via laptop. There is no button on the device. We had trouble ejecting on the laptop once & couldn't get the movie out. Otherwise, depending on your laptop, it's easy to use.

Works very well, and it is extremely portable. My only complaint is that I wanted to buy one with a USB-C cable for my new MacBook, but there is not one available.

This was my first experience with the Super Drive. I am not tech savvy so I thought I would have to find how to use it. I did not have to do anything complicated, just plug and go.

I purchased this drive to supplement my new Imac. I am now able to download cds and dvds as well as listen to music. This drive is very user friendly and easy to setup.

Unfortunately Apple doesn't include an optical drive on the new iMacs, but for a few more bucks this sleek external USB double layer drive keeps you in business.

Very easy to hook up and work with no issues. Had to get a USB-c adapter to USB in order to hook it up.

Purchased item due to IMac not having a drive. Easy set up. Just plug and use. Mac product tend to be more reliable.

This external drive works well and is very easy to use. Great for the family. Have not had any issues with the drive playing DVD movies or music CD. Very easy connection.

Required peripheral if you want to play music or watch a movie. Just another peripheral to purchase to get what you want with the new Apple computer.
