I use this with my iMac 27" and I love it. It works so well with all my apple products and it's super fast. I use it mostly to burn photos to cds for clients (photography business).

Needed to download some CD’s so I purchased for my new MacBook Air. Easy to use and was a great purchase.

My new laptop did not have a drive and I thought I needed it. I haven't used it more than twice, but glad I have it. Works great! I am sure I will be happy I have it for DVDs.

Just plug in and use nothing to install. I was a bit mad that a 2000 dollar MacBook doesn't include a disc drive but oh welll.

This is a really nice drive and works seamlessly with Mac OS X, the only regrettable consideration is its only DVD-R5 and/or DVD-R DL media which essentially limits it to 8.5GB which isn't that bad, but there is no credible reason they haven't upgraded it to a Blu-ray recorder with XL capability which would yield 100+GB per disc and free consumers from the risk of getting their valuable personal and family records, photos and other private data lost, hacked or stolen by depending on the Cloud to protect all our stuff! Cloud storage sites and RAID Drives are Hackers # 1 Targets! Speaking of which: remember Target, Home Depot, IRS, etc?

Handy drive, works easily doesn't have to be ejected when done using. Greatly appreciate the weight difference in the new Mac Book Pro without having to have the drive built in.

This was a great purchase for my Mac since they do not come with disk drives. Haven't had any problems with it. Apple has never let me down when it comes to their products.

I need to burn DVDs so this is a great choice. Because it is Apple brand it is easy to update the firmware. On many 3rd party drives you must update on a PC. Good luck with that

I enjoy apple products but they are just so expensive. I wasn't planning on purchasing this product until my class required us to watch a dvd for some of the lessons..

I can only say it works very well. I have a lot of data of all kinds on CD and DVD, so the SuperDrive is essential for me.

Purchased item due to IMac not having a drive. Easy set up. Just plug and use. Mac product tend to be more reliable.

Works great, a recommended product from me! Helped me get multiple digital copies onto my computer that required the disc to be inserted.

I am in college & needed a way to play my school DVD's on my computer. This is exactly what I needed. I haven't had a minutes trouble.

Great way to view DVDs and CDs on the Mac. Easy to set up and eject.

This external device is nice and can be removed and stored away from the computer when not in use but is nice looking and okay to leave hooked up to the computer all the time.

Very easy to hook up and work with no issues. Had to get a USB-c adapter to USB in order to hook it up.

Plugged right in and works great. Only downside is you have to use at a desk or table top to support but it's not an issue for me considering it's only used once in awhile

This device works well with my newly purchased Apple Air Book. Downloading CD’s to the laptop is a breeze with this product.

If you spend the bucks for something like a MacBookPro, don't be cheap with additional hardware, go with consistency and compatibility, peace of mind is worth the extra cost.,

One Can't look at older work on CD or DVD without one of these!
