The drive has been easy to use and connects easily with my airbook. It allowed me to have a thinner computer to work on and is more mobile.

Purchased this to go with recently purchased IMAC. It does a great job and Imac picks it up and installs and reads/writes well to drive. It has worked without any incidents, Well Pleased.

Apple Extrenal USB drive is good for downloading old songs from CD's and watching DVD's.

Handy drive, works easily doesn't have to be ejected when done using. Greatly appreciate the weight difference in the new Mac Book Pro without having to have the drive built in.

This is a really nice drive and works seamlessly with Mac OS X, the only regrettable consideration is its only DVD-R5 and/or DVD-R DL media which essentially limits it to 8.5GB which isn't that bad, but there is no credible reason they haven't upgraded it to a Blu-ray recorder with XL capability which would yield 100+GB per disc and free consumers from the risk of getting their valuable personal and family records, photos and other private data lost, hacked or stolen by depending on the Cloud to protect all our stuff! Cloud storage sites and RAID Drives are Hackers # 1 Targets! Speaking of which: remember Target, Home Depot, IRS, etc?

This was a great purchase for my Mac since they do not come with disk drives. Haven't had any problems with it. Apple has never let me down when it comes to their products.

I enjoy apple products but they are just so expensive. I wasn't planning on purchasing this product until my class required us to watch a dvd for some of the lessons..

Must have drive as its from apple and good for daily use also portable to carry around

I need to burn DVDs so this is a great choice. Because it is Apple brand it is easy to update the firmware. On many 3rd party drives you must update on a PC. Good luck with that

Bought this as I was having issues with other USB drives and found it to be a great add. It is quiet and get the job done.

Coming from a HP PC with a built in optical drive, I felt I had to have a DVD/CD drive for my new iMac desktop. Since the newer iMacs don't have a built in drive, I decided I'd try this one. It works as expected, and I'm happy with it.

This was a piece of cake to setup and synch with the iMac. I would definitely make the purchase in the future if needed.

Great experience with it since my MacBook Air doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive- I am able to burn CD easily

This external device is nice and can be removed and stored away from the computer when not in use but is nice looking and okay to leave hooked up to the computer all the time.

I like using Apple products with the Apple computers. This DVD is durable, not made from plastic. No tray sliding out, easy to use and works great.

Plugged right in and works great. Only downside is you have to use at a desk or table top to support but it's not an issue for me considering it's only used once in awhile

Very reliable, well-built product that works excellent with Mac OS. Reads and plays CD's and DVD's flawlessly.

If you spend the bucks for something like a MacBookPro, don't be cheap with additional hardware, go with consistency and compatibility, peace of mind is worth the extra cost.,
