I bought this to use with my new iMac. It's great because it just plugs into the computer with the USB port and it's ready to use. An added bonus is that it looks great on my desk.

This drive works very well with my Apple Air. Used it to duplicate a personal audio cd for our community choir after a performance we did.

I looked at other options and there are cheaper options out there but let us be honest we want an apple product that it built well, functions perfectly, looks good and has no issues - so this is it. Why look elsewhere to save $30

Thank goodness Apple sees fit to help us old time DVD users. The SuperDrive is super easy to use and store. I wish it had an eject button but then this is the 21st C so I guess I can't expect anything that would debase Apple's sleek, minimalist aesthetic..

I love when things work with no problems. All you have have to do is put in it he USB plug into into into the Mac and boom it works!

It is a great product. Burns and plays without difficulty. It did take a little while to figure out how to work it, because I have recently switched from a PC to Mac.

Works perfectly....needed it with my MacBook Pro..but had to buy an adapter since it has a regular USB connector.

yes! i did think i'd like it built in but doesn't take that much room and it works so well and i take it to my other mac without a drive.

The super drive is a must. Loading pictures from CD or playing a movie from DVD is what I've done so far. It's really nice to have it separate. It keeps the laptop so light.

We seem to run out of storage much more quickly than we expect to, and this is a great option, great value, and easy for us to use to solve our issue!

my new system did not come with a disk drive or burner so this was an inexpensive solution. It was easy to set up. Just plug in and go

I needed an external drive that would be able to read the dvd I had made for my son’s first birthday party. It worked perfect with my MacBook Air.

I gave it 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to do. There is nothing special about this Apple superdrive. It does what it's advertised to do. I'm annoyed that apparently Apple made it so you pretty much have to buy their Superdrive to have it work flawlessly. I was told by multiple (non-Apple) salesmen that if I were to buy another brand, it may or may not work and that was by Apple's design. There's nothing bad about this, but to be honest it's just an external DVD drive. It works. It doesn't make your files any fancier or your photos pop more. It simply read and writes data.

Works great with my MacBook Air, I love the fact that does not have to be plugged into an outlet, just one plug to your computer and go. No fuss. Light and portable.

Wish my MacBook Air had a built in drive but this works well. Easy to use. Not super fast but adequate.

Trust me, I have owned the "off" brand drives that are much cheaper, spend a few dollars more and get the real thing. You will not regret it!

Apple is seamless, so I couldn't expect anything less then the ease of use of this device. Now if only Apple made their own printers....then I would be ecstatic!

Burns CDs quickly, works quietly. Using CDs isn't as common as it used to be, so this is great when you do want to use a cd.

Most of the software and content people will need can be obtained from the internet however, it would have been nice to have it Blue-ray compatible. Paired with an Apple computer and the Thunderbolt monitor playing DVD's will have a grainy appearance. It's compact size is a big plus.
