It is easy to use and install but it is unfortunate that apple doesn't include an option for it to be installed on the iMac. All Apple's computers are now eliminating the DVD player. I see the point on a laptop but not on a desktop.

For the money. it's worth it! A hard drive is a must have in every business. I can burn all my files onto a disk and store them for later review or upload them off the disk when needed.Downside, The hard drive is external and takes up dest space. You'll have to make allowance for. It would be nice if it had some kind of external mounting bracket you could use that could be mounted at the bottom of the computer that keeps the hard drive off the desk and on the computer incase of coffee spills and less clutter.

This drive works very well with my Apple Air. Used it to duplicate a personal audio cd for our community choir after a performance we did.

This device is great, the cable is a little short but that can easily be remedied with an extension cable if needed. For laptop users though the cable is probably the ideal length. The design is impeccable - it's compact, made of aluminum not cheap plastic like the other brands I've seen and like any other Apple product that I've ever owned it just works! Over and over and over again it just works... I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I ever need to.

I have discs that I need to be able to use. Saw this and it works perfectly.

Since the new Apple desktop computers have no CD drive build in, this is the best you can get and easy to use. It is slim and fits right on the stand and out of the way.

After trying other cheaper products and feeling extremely frustrated I decided I would bite the bullet and get the apple recommended CD player. Solid performance

yes! i did think i'd like it built in but doesn't take that much room and it works so well and i take it to my other mac without a drive.

Item works as described, price is a wee bit high, but its an Apple product.

easy to use and no directions required. just plug in computer and follow what is on the screen. Nice that is it powered by the computer and you don't need an extra cord.

I bought this for someone who was just starting using an iPad, and had no mechanism for adding music to her computer, save, purchasing from iTunes. This drive filled the bill perfectly.

Thank goodness Apple sees fit to help us old time DVD users. The SuperDrive is super easy to use and store. I wish it had an eject button but then this is the 21st C so I guess I can't expect anything that would debase Apple's sleek, minimalist aesthetic..

I bought this to play old family movies that were converted to DVD many (many) years ago. Easy install and easy to use.

Had an external drive from a different company that worked ok for a while, then it stopped. The Apple drive works great. I should have known! Stick with Apple products.

I needed an external drive that would be able to read the dvd I had made for my son’s first birthday party. It worked perfect with my MacBook Air.

We seem to run out of storage much more quickly than we expect to, and this is a great option, great value, and easy for us to use to solve our issue!

Easy to use. I had to buy a USB-C to USB adapter so o can use it with my laptop

Bought this so that I can view some files that I had on CD. If you have a MAC I would recommend that you get one of these.
