This CD drive is very useful for multiple reasons such as studying e-books in CDs and watching DVDs without having to bring such a heavy laptop with a built in CD drive.

Works well. Cosmetics are similar to MacBooks. Cord could probably be a little longer but not a major concern. Need one with Air.

I had a very hard time deciding to purchase such an expensive computer since I only use it to surf the web, send emails, watch movies, and play brain games. I kept going back and forth, but finally I bought it because it was so sleek and beautiful. I had a 2010 Mac Book Pro which I loved, but there is no comparison. This computer is really fantastic. I am not a computer expert, but I plan to learn how to use the many features it has to offer. The colors and images on the screen are amazing. The speakers are also wonderful. I'm glad I bought it !!!! I can't stay off it now.

Very good for recorder Dvd's and playback a movies. You can keep on side of your computer looks a professional desktop . Very slim and not noise.

One Can't look at older work on CD or DVD without one of these!

This device is great, the cable is a little short but that can easily be remedied with an extension cable if needed. For laptop users though the cable is probably the ideal length. The design is impeccable - it's compact, made of aluminum not cheap plastic like the other brands I've seen and like any other Apple product that I've ever owned it just works! Over and over and over again it just works... I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I ever need to.

Wish my MacBook Air had a built in drive but this works well. Easy to use. Not super fast but adequate.

The Apple SuperDrive works as advertised. It is not fancy but does it's job. It took me a couple tries to figure it out (software) but finally got it.

Apple took out the drives on all the new laptops and even on the new Mac Pro Cylinder. If you need an external drive, might as well get the apple brand.

Required peripheral if you want to play music or watch a movie. Just another peripheral to purchase to get what you want with the new Apple computer.
