This is a standard disc drive for those with newer Macbooks that don't have the built-in optical drives. Although it costs a pretty penny for its use, it is made with Apple's high quality and pleasing aesthetic, making sure that it will be reliable in years to come.

I needed an external DVD drive for my Apple laptop because it did not have an internal DVD drive. This drive met all of my expectations. Glad I made the purchase.

Does what it is supposed to do. Wish my new IMac would have come with a drive built in but I know that progress marches on.

I am never disappointed with Apple's easy setup. I considered some less expensive alternatives, but decided on this one, plunged it in, and it works great.

I love my new SuperDrive! As soon as I plugged it in, I was searching for any and all CDs and or DVDs! I am in heaven....or as close to heaven as I can be here on earth

My new Mac does not come with a CD/DVD slot so all my old CDs and DVD are not playable on the new Mac. So, I purchased this unit. It was easy to set up and use. I have had no concerns about the performance of the unit.

I had a different drive prior to buying this one. The other quit working. So far the Apple drive works well with my macbook. I'm happy with my purchase!

I needed this so I could burn CDs for my dance instructor. Easy to use, but I did have to purchase an adapter for my Macbbok Pro.

This a necessary if you still use and have dvd's that you need to use. Works great

My old Cd drive that was offbrand didn't work well with Apple. But got this one and it works great. Plug in Burn. plug-and-play have a good night

If you have a Mac, and you want good quality and sure compatibility, with a competitive price. Enough said.

We purchased a new MacBook and didnt realize we needed an external drive. We went with the apple brand and it works perfectly!

I use this drive with my new 27" iMac and it works perfectly. This is definitely faster than the built-in "superdrive" on my mid-2007 iMac, and quieter, too. It sits nicely on top of the iMac stand, blending in with the design and looking like it belongs there. I plan to get a second for my wife's computer rather than using the sharing feature since it's pretty affordable. If you've got an iMac, this is the drive to buy.

So far, the product has worked well. I need to use it more before I can provide a more reliable review.

I have a new Mac without a DVD drive so this product is just what I needed to burn and watch DVD's and CD's. Works great and setup was easy.

The adapter for Mac laptops to watch movies and burn CDs is a great accessory. It's very portable and easy to travel with. The price is reasonable. It's a great product.

As always Apple has made the integration of this product as simple as possible. This disk drive was for my 11 year old & she had it up in running in no time.

I got this to take CD audio books and put on a flash drive for my car. it works well and is easy to use. Sadly, I have no clue how to use my iTunes, learning curve. But the super drive works well and connected to my Mac perfectly
