I'm not real excited that I had to buy this, but I understand why the smaller macbook pro doesn't have one in it. I have only used it once but it seems to do its job.

Writer is good with no issues to report and it does good what it is made for.. But not upto Apple mark.. Its expensive and unnecessary better options and cheaper available.. I guess apple will never ever update this hardware too since it is becoming to obsolete..

I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter so I don't know how well it works yet. I would expect great results by reading other reviews.

So Apple's super drive works great with my wife's new mac laptop. The only thing I can think of that this product does not offer is the ability to play Blu Ray DVD's. Other than that, it's a great product but quite a bit of money compared to other external CD Drives.

So easy, so smooth, watched a dvd and burnt a cd within minutes and its so small and portable, cool. I don't think it does blue-ray but i don't care.

We purchased this for our 85 year old sister who has an Apple PC. She absolutely loves it. It is so easy to use!

I connected regular USB to USB C to MacBook Pro. LG drive did not work, but the Apple drive worked just great, to view a photo CD.

Works great, easily connected to the Apple MacBook. Makes it easy to view DVDs on Apple MacBook or with connector can watch DVDs on the television.

The stand of my iMac is the perfect size for this USB drive to hide out. It functions quietly but does hum a bit while loading or ejecting. Quite happy with it.

Used once so far and was super simple to set up and use. Burned a CD with photos on it. Took one try. No issues with reading my blank CD or burning.

So far, the product has worked well. I need to use it more before I can provide a more reliable review.

Great to be able to use CDs/DVDs with MacBook. Works great, just plug in USB and all set. Used it to back up photos and music and save on storage space.

My only complaint about this drive, is that I should have bought it sooner. It is perfect for my Mac that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. Plug in and go!

At first I didn't like the idea of having an external disc drive; however, I find the computer to be much faster. Also, I realize how often I TRULY use a disc drive.

Since apple stopped including cd drives on their computers, this is a good alternative and very reliable.

I use my MacBook Air for both work and pleasure, this is a must have if you don't always download your movies or any related work documents.

Super drive is very easy to set up and use. I did have to use an adapter to hook it up, it has a USB connection.

As I've found with other Mac system products, this unit works well and is a great add on for those of us who still use older optical memory devices.

The drive itself works great and is pretty easy to use but I had to try three different USB 2 to USB-C adapters until I found one that worked correctly with a new Mac. I wish Apple had a newer version that did not require an adapter.
