I purchased this because I wanted it to match my computer/office. I recommend, just make sure you know what you want out of it before buying.

Fast and seemless interfacing performance

Great External DVD Drive

It was easy to connect to the computer and she is using it regularly. I do wish it was able to view BluRay.

Perfect addition for your laptop computer

Great Mac accessory!

However, it is one less internal component to worry about. The internal CD drive of my last laptop (not a Mac) blitzed out, and there was no way to repair without sending the entire laptop in for service. I don't anticipate any problems with my new Apple SuperDrive, but it was a consideration nonetheless. It's there when I need it, and stores easily when I don't.
