Works like it is supposed to, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use my Macbook in a vertical dock (Hedge), which only leaves one USB port exposed on the Mac. The problem is, I need to connect a printer and this drive. To solve my problem, I bought a USB hub, however, this drive will NOT work with a hub (even a powered hub, like mine). It must be hooked directly to the Mac. The USB cord permanently attached to this drive is very short, so I purchased a USB extension cable. The drive WILL work with the extension cable.

Really do not need this, but it is great to have.

It is a great item to have just incase it is needed however so I am satisfied with the purchase.
