The first support person had no luck either. I was directed to a supervisor who set me straight by asking "Is the Apple Logo up or down on the DVD unit?" It was up. Turned the unit over with the Logo down (not visible) and it worked flawlessly. Instructions had no statement for Logo up or down. In my mind the Logo was meant to be seen not hidden. Otherwise a good unit.
