Felt like Mac just wanted money

We are not at a place that only USB's are useful to most people yet...

I have found that over a period of time they drive gets dirty as all optical drives do but they can't be cleaned. This drive replaces one I purchased three years ago. I tried to clean it using an DVD drive cleaning disk, and the process described in the Apple support group to no avail. The local Apple certified repair store said there is no good way to clean the drives, thus this purchase. This drive now sits in a ziplock bag between uses to keep it clean. I still like the drive.

The Superdrive is an essential add on for the IMAC if one has files on a DVD because Apple does not have a DVD drive on its IMAC.
