Watch those DVDs on your modern mac

This is really solid and does not feel flimsy like other plastic ones on the market. I have this plugged into a 2013 MacPro that I use as an entertainment center in order to watch old DVDs for movies not on Amazon Prime.

Good DVD/DC player and writer but overpriced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I first bought this apple computer 2 years ago, I was told that the reason there was not a built in DVD player/writer was because that technology was going obsolete. Therefore this option was no longer a built in option on Apple computers. However, to be able to do her work my daughter in collge had to have the ability to write to DVDs and we were forced to have to buy this optional equipment. Compared to IBM compatible computers this add on item was more expensive. I might have decided to go with an IBM compatible computer if I had none this was going to happen.

Just what the IMac needed
