Just like all Apple products, this drive has a beautiful design. It's about the size of a CD jacket only 5/8 of an inch thick. The hardwired cord is about a foot long with a USB port on the end. Worked fine pulling up a disk.

I love this item. It is small, sleek, and perfect size to fit in my computer bag. Easy to operate and works well with the newest MacBook.

I have a brand-new iMac 27 inch that I connected this drive to. No problems no connection issues it does exactly what it supposed to do. The low profile design allows it to slide right under my monitor and it looks right at home.

I had problems with my old external hard drive with my Mac notebook pro , I purchased this external USB Drive to keep plugged in my office , as well as for traveling . It set up easy , and has worked perfect right out of the Box .

Since the new MacBook Pro and the iMacs do not have incorporated CD DVD Drives and burn, we must buy a drive which can both play and burn CD's and DVD's. It does an excellent job, effortlessly and fast. It is easy to use.

I'm very happy with this CD drive. I went with this one rather than a cheaper alternative as I trust the quality of Apple products which is why my equipment is all Apple. The speed is very comparable to other similar drives and it is very quiet.

I like that they didn't take up space and add weight to my Macbook Pro by having an internal drive. It's a nuisance to have it external but I personally use it rarely. Very fast, easy installation. Classy looking as one would expect.

It's an Apple, so it is beautiful, but in retrospect, I think I should have gone with a blu-ray reader/writer that can be had for about 2/3 the cost. Also no eject button on the drive. Trust me there are times when the computer locks up or doesn't recognize the drive where it would be handy to eject the disk without looking up some combination of key strokes to hold down on startup.

I bought this for my MacBook Pro with retina display bc it doesn't come with one. Which I didn't mind, bc it's faster and a lot lighter than the previous models. Just wanted to keep a cd drive handy in case I needed to install or burn CDs.

As usual Apple makes the products that seamlessly talk and work together. This is a plug & play install, very easy. Operationally fast and ascetically fits with the Mac Mini.

Given that my iMac came without a disc drive it was a simple decision to go with this item. Not only does it look great, it's small and sleek and doesn't take up tons of space. It's fast and performs to the typical Apple standard.

A must if you want to use your DVD, CD's, etc. on your MacBook Air since it doesn't have a CD/DVD reader/writer. Very small and useful. Just plug it in the USB and you are ready to go. No hardware to lose nor software to load - Plug and Play!

I missed having a disk drive once I went to Mac Mini but with this Super Drive I have it again. Just plug and play, fairly quite and fast enough for me. Sleek and trim.

Purchased this SuperDrive because I have a newer model Apple MacMini desktop computer and it does not have a CD drive to upload music to my Itunes account from my music CD's. Virtually foolproof to use; a 3 year old can use this machine. Pop your CD in the drive and all your instructions come up on your screen asking what you want to do. Since all my devices are Apple, I highly recommend this product over a cheaper brand. You won't be disappointed.
