This dvd writer will be perfect if you have a Macbook Air or Macbook with retina display. Just plug and play. You will be able to watch movies or burn anything into a cd. I picked this up at Best Buy and I love it.

Had to buy a new writer the LG one went out after 1 use. The Apple has already work better & have used it twice with no problems plus I didn’t have to add software it hooked right up to the Mac with no problems. More pricey but no headaches!

Considering I didn’t have a disk drive built into my iMac, I love it already. I used it for work to mass produce CD copies for clients, and it didn’t hiccup once. Slim, fairly quiet, and smooth.

Since the ultralight and slim MacBook Air has very few peripherals, I needed this for tax software and other old programs where I prefer having a CD or DVD than just downloading everything. It works...just have to remember to eject the drive before unplugging it from the usb plug or the Mac will give you a message of grief.

Own a mac with no drive, searched and bought this out the store and i don't regret it! I needed it in order to download my canon dslr software and it was super easy lol just plug and go!

Something you don't think you need, then you get it and can't figure out how you got along without it. Fast drive compact easy to take with you, easy to operate.

Another great apple product, I bought this for my I Mac. The drive is nice and thin and looks nice sitting underneath the computer. So far it has been working flawlessly as all apple products usually do.

I purchased my Apple CD /DVD drive. Brought it home , hooked it to my MacBook Pro and it was so easy . Works great . I have used it to put music and pictures on my MacBook and it is easy and fast

My internal CD/DVD player broke. Instead of the expense of fixing it, I bought the external drive. It is as good as the internal drive and I am to use it on all of my devices. Very quiet and very fast. It is great.

The superdrive is for my macbook pro, which does not have an optical drive. High price, but it works well.

I've been using it to burn movies and it's awesome! I just recently bought a Mac Book Pro 13" (2019), and it has worked wonders. It's fast and easy to use.

The disk drive makes a great companion for any apple computer. It is very fast and hooks to the computer via a USB port. The computer automatically detects the disk drive, etc. I highly recommend this disk drive.

This DVD writer/reader runs smoothly and quiet. The speed is great. Very easy to use; just plug in via USP and ready to go. The outside cover is very steady, metallic looking, and durable but low weight.

Its great that Apple slims down there laptops the unfortunate part is you have to buy what is pretty much standard equipment for the last 20 yrs. So your laptop costs twice as much and you don't get standard equipment. Go figure, but you have to have one for many work related or picture related types of things so bite the bullet and get it.

I had just purchased a new MacBook Pro, and I knew that I would need some sort of external drive. I was expecting to purchase a non Apple brand one because of the cost. Not only did I find an Apple drive, at a very reasonablle price, but brand new in an open box. I am delighted with my purchase, and the external drive matches my laptop beautifully! The associate was very helpful and even insisted on checking the merchandise to make sure it was in good condition; and also scanned it to make sure that the price had not been reduced further. Very pleasant experience. Best Buy’s employees never disappoint; never high pressure and always very helpful.

Old MacBook had built in CD-ROM drive, but not on new ones. Need CD/DVD drive from time to time so bought external drive. Have used it a number of times and it is fast, quiet, easy to use. Great companion to MacBook

Anything made by apple works flawlessly unless you do something to it that youre not supposed to do. Pricy but if you have a newer apple laptop and have disc to put in it this is what you want.

Bought it for my MacBook no DVD, so I purchased it so I can copy my cd's and also play some of my favorite movies. Works better than I expected Just pluged it to my MacBook and that was it. Great product

I recently purchased the external Apple super drive and am extremely satisfied. Installation was easy and it works great on my Mac pro. Fast speed, high quality. Would recommend to friends.....even enemies!
