Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once I got the SuperDrive installed correctly, it has worked fine - I think I initially had a little issue with it not recognizing the USB ports on a non-Apple port panel I have attached to my MacBookPro. Plugging it into a USB port on my Apple Thunderbolt monitor worked fine. A bit more documentation would have been helpful!

Apple Super 8 External Drive

My previous drive needed upgrading when I purchased my new Apple Laptop. Apple seems to make their previous edition obsolete when they upgrade their new laptops. I wish Apple would make their products more universal.
