This product is very easy to use, which is exactly what I need since I am transitioning to Apple products from PC. Love that it is a small device that takes up barely any desk space next to our iMac.

Drive works great. Plug it in and start using it. It is thin, compact and sleek. It is a little overpriced, but can live with that. I say it was worth the money. It supports DVDs, which can fit 8.5 GB of data. Does not seem to work with blu-ray and USB cord could be longer.

I have only used the dvd drive once so far. It was extremely easy to use- didn't even have an open/close button. No power cord is needed, only the USB into the mac. It fits well right on the base of the mac.

Sure this drive is almost double what other external drives are but I really wanted one to match my new iMac. I don't use CDs much anymore but when I do this thing can handle everyhting that I throw at it from reading and writing CDs and DVDs to just watching movies. Very happy with it even thought its over priced

Exactly what I was looking for in a dvd/cd drive. This drive will work perfectly with any apple computer. I like that it matches well with other Mac computers.

Excellent product. Works perfectly with my apple stuff. A bit pricy compared to some of the alternatives, but that's a personal judgement call. No complaints from me, very good quality and design.

Since desktop macs don't come with a CD drive, we purchased this to view photos on our CD's. Easily hooks up to mac with USB cord. Looks nice sitting on base on mac, blends in well. The only thing I don't like in order to get the CD to eject, you have do eject it via the computer. There isn't a button to safely eject the CD.

Superdrive 8x Ext USB does exactly what you expect. It's fast and easy to use. Allows the user to accomplish everything needed when an external drive is required. Highly recommended.

There's still a need to watch your dvd movies and listen to your music cds, and this is the best unit for that if you own an Apple computer!

Apple's Super Drive is an excellent addition to my MacAir! It is easy to use and performs perfectly. The only thing this product needs is a pouch or compartment for storing when you are on the move.

This drive is sleek and functional, as I'd expect any Apple product to be. It fills the void left by phasing out internal disk drives on new laptops. Easy to carry in my laptop bag or back pack.

I was frustrated about having to buy an external drive with new Macs not having them built in. Despite my frustrations though, this drive connects easily and works perfectly. A good product.

WE HAVE AN APPLE ALL IN ONE COMPUTER ON A VERY SMALL DESK IN THE KITCHEN. THIS IS SO SMALL YOU HARDLY KNOW ITS THERE AND MATCHES THE COMPUTER PERFECTLY. EASY SET UP AND WORKS PERFECTLY.

I bought this when I was working on a presentation on my MacBook and needed to burn some extra copies. It worked quickly and flawlessly. I like that it is very portable too.

Ive been an Apple fan boy for some time now and when moving to the Retina Macbook Pro I lost the option to burn disks. That was not a big deal to me as I hadn't burned a disk in what felt like for ever. To be honest I really did not think I would need to ever burn a disk again with as much external hard drives and cloud storage as I have. Well the day came that burning a disk was a must thats why I picked up the Apple super drive. I could have picked up a cheaper external disk drive but I really like the design of my Apple gear and how I know its just going to work with my stuff. So is it worth buying? My answer yes. Elegant design fast burning speed small portable and easy to use.

This is a great plug and play item. Like most Apple products, it is overly expensive for what it is, but it does work very well. It is quiet and seems to be of good quality. No issues so far. Knock off 25-30% off the price, and it would get more stars from me.

Pretty much, just your good ol' disk drive. Very simple and straight forward to use, small and does not take up much desk space. If you need a disk drive for your Mac, it's a good purchase!
