Works well! Just plug into the USB port and insert a disc. Quiet, small, design blends in with the Mac. Relatively fast; does not seem to take much power when MacBook is on batteries.

This superdrive is small and compact and matches really well with the rest of my Apple products. Burns CDs and DVDs great as well as allows games to be played from it without issue.

I've had no issues with this. I know some people were saying they didn't like it, but it does its' job so I can't complain. I bought it so I could watch movies on my MacBook Air.

The transfer times for discs are fast. The external drive runs silent and smooth. I like the portablility that this offers. The burn time is also fast which is helpful.

I have been very pleased with this CD/DVD burner from Apple. For several years I struggled with a flimsy LG burner and finally got fed up with it not reading or writing certain discs I owned. The Apple is substantially more $$ than many burners out there but it is sturdy, extremely well made, quiet, and I haven't encountered ANY problems with it AT ALL. Definitely worth the extra investment.

Able to use on the first plug-in. Easy to use and fast. Very happy with the product. Side note, get an USB extension with this purchase for more flexibility with moving the product around.

I bought to go with my Airbook and love it's performance. light weight and travels well. Perfect for movies while traveling.

All Apple products I have ever purchased are sleek and work great. The only problem is that they are expensive.

Traveling to Australia with my family and we wanted to bring some movies with us... but because of the different encryption codes on the DVD’s that won’t allow us to play them on the systems in Australia, we needed to bring along our laptop, but of course, our newest laptop doesn’t have a disk player, so the easiest and best way of meeting all of our needs was to buy this simple and fabulous external DVD drive. Super simple and easy to use, we were able to play all of our movies on the planes, in the rental cars and also in our hotel room. I definitely recommend it!

I used the drive to watch a movie last night and it was fantastic. The directions were simple and the product is light and so much less cumbersome than a cd player.

Very good dvd rw. Design is good and very fast speed for burning dvds. Also its not noisy compare to other dvd burners. Its not that quiet but not too bad. everything good so far.

You always need to burn a CD, or even install something, and it doesn't get any better than this, very fast, silent and lightweight

Quickly uploads CD tracks to iTunes. Nice speed. Looks sleek and blends nicely with a Mac desktop setup. Perfect if you need to burn DVDs or CDs. Takes up little real estate.

I thought that I would have to set it up but since they are already compatible all I had to do was connect it and it was ready to use! Very thin and easy to travel with.

The all in one desktop does not have a dvd and this is not only compatible but has a small footprint to go with the design. It's also small enough to take with my Yoga Pro Laptop.

Very useful external drive for the rare occasions when a dvd drive is still needed. The only thing was that I wound up buying Apple’s USB-A to USB-C connecter in order to use it as my mini doc was not able to power it.

This is nice to have if I want to watch a movie or use a CD on my MacBook. With it being an add on it keeps the MacBook small and lightweight.
