Simply plug in and go. It looks good for an external drive because it sits on the monitors base, and does what it is supposed to do. I have only one complaint and it is the added cost. I'd have to recommend it because in my case, it's a must have and there is no other option available for the iMac.

Works right out of the box. Powerful and handles all my CD's. Definitely worth the money.

Very small and compact, being a mac mini user the drive sits perfectly on my computer. I have used it every day since I got it and have yet to have any problems on it.

Now a days with apple, it’s impossible to purchase a new computer with a disc drive. This may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. After reading reviews on cheaper models, I knew this is what I had to buy. Definitely a buy you won’t regret.

I bought this unit to replace one that went bad. For being an Apple product, the original lasted approximately two years. Best Buy had what I wanted at the same price as the old one. The new one is working as expected. This unit works well for both my desk top and my Macbook Air.

Find this drive very handy to switch between different machines when needed. Nice look, sturdy build, matches the MAC machines very nicely. Does the job quite well.

I had a few software products that I used on my PC, but when it crashed and I purchased a Mac Book Pro computer, I did not want to have to purchase new software programs also. I purchased the Parallels software and installed Windows onto a portion of the computer. This gave me the capability to load my old Window based software programs onto my new Mac. The drive worked perfectly and I have also created DVD's of scanned pictures for all my children. I think the computers of today should still have a DVD drive in them, but they are now so small & skinny, there is no room for one. This product solves that problem!

I purchased the Apple SuperDrive since the HP CD/DVD drive I purchased would not work with my 2020 MacBook Pro. I have used it a couple of times. The first time it worked great. The next time I used the ports on the left side of my 2020 MacBook Pro and i did not have power to run so I switched to the right side ports and it worked. The 2020 MacBook Pro has a problem with attached drives. I would recommend this for a MacBook Pro computer.

Since the new iMac's did away with the internal CD drive you sort of need to buy this, if your going to use CD's or DVD's. Works great so far and I like how thin it is.

i was able to burn about 20 cd's in a short amount of time with this device. it is compact and easily fits in a sleeve if needed to bring along to view dvds if not streaming.

All I needed was a disc drive that so play connected to my MacBook via USB and this gets the job done. It would be more helpful if it came with an eject button rather than dragging an icon to the trash to eject. Other than that, it's been very useful for all types of discs

Easy to install and use. I have a built in drive in my iMac, but the extra drive makes some tasks much easier. It is also much easier to replace if it ever breaks.

This superdrive works on all my Macs that have DVD burning software. Haven't had any issues with this drive. Glad I bought it.

easy to set up. tricky to figure out how to get cd/dvd out after use...Apple not so good on paperwork options. still i like it. it is small , unobtrusive and works great

Great product that works great with my new Mac mini. Wish the computer came with it built in but it sits on top very nicely and work like a charm.

Good DVD double layer device. A little expensive compared to other manufactured devices but OK.

I needed a CD drive for my new laptop, it didn't come with one. This external CD drive is great because it is fast and compact.
