    When I bought my new MacBookAir, I saw I was going to need a lot of additional plug-in hardware, and this was one of the things I got. It works fine.

    I have an apple phone, ipad and ipod and have been extremely happy with those devices. However, I was reluctant to switch from a PC to a MAC because I had been told that it would be "painful." NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!! It has been very easy to make the transition. My only regret is that I didn't make the switch sooner!!!

    I have only recently purchased and used my DVD/CD player, but so far, so good. I am switching from a Toshiba laptop, where the DVD/CD player was built in to an external drive used for the macOS Sierra. The only thing I had trouble with was figuring out out to extract a CD once it was in. (No buttons on the hard drive.). I had to figure it out by asking Siri. Otherwise, everything is fine. I like that the outer case is sturdy and solid. If it accidentally fell on the floor, I doubt it would damage anything.

    Just a CD drive. Works as advertised. I'm still a little old school and like to listen to music CD's and it was more of a just in case type deal.
