Very smart looking and compact. It communicates very well with my Mac, I had no trouble hooking it up. It is metal which complements the Mac.

This super drive is fantastic! It is portable and light weight. I have not had any problems with it thus far. However, the price is a little high in my opinion.

This was a definite must have so I could download my CD collection to iTunes. It's easy to use, Plug and play, and fast.

Apple has been trying to eliminate drives so my new iMac does not have one, but everyone now and then you need a drive to upload those old DVD's or CD's into your iTunes library or update some old but valued software. This drive does the trick -- its an Apple so it looks great and it works like a charm right out of the box and unlike many other Apple products, it is reasonably priced.

I bought this for my iMac and Macbook. It works perfect. It's completely Plug-N-Play. It doesn't need any software install.

It is pretty simple. You plug it in and it works. No additional drivers or support is needed. It is slim and lightweight if you have to throw it in your laptop bag.

Purchased this as an addition to my MBP due to the fact that there was no disk drive. Super easy to set up and use! Not so bulky that it takes up extra space when using.

This super drive works well, and you need a piece of equipment like this in order to use cd's or dvd's with new computers.

I needed an external drive , since my MacBook Pro has no CD/DVD drive. This one from Apple fit the bill perfectly. Easy to use, comes with everything needed. I was up and running in less than five minutes. It is a little pricey for a external drive, but well worth it IMHO.

This is perfect if you’re looking to add a an external DVD/CD drive to your MacBook/Pro. I have tried others, but always need to install software and yet most don’t always work as flawless. Easy setup, no software needed, plays and burns CD fast with quality. If you own an Apple MacBook/Pro it’s best to stick with an external drive that was made by Apple.

The Lacie 1 terabyte drive is rugged well put together light easy to travel with and it's a terabyte size which is very very good for a music application

This is a really excellent machine. It's fast and efficient. and it interfaces perfectly with my MacBook Pro. No need to do any setup because it's plug 'n play!

Reads and plays DVDs and CDs with no problems. Looks classy and is compact in size. Matches the color of and works well with the Mac Mini.

This is a great tool that goes well with any MacBook. I wish it would be able to read Blu Ray discs but my main use is for transferring my CD albums on to my computer. It's a bit pricey but overall I like it and would recommend it for any apple computer without a disc drive.

Got a new iMac computer but didn’t have a CD/DVD drive, so purchased this to work with it. It works perfect, I just leave it plugged into the back and can use anytime I need it.

Like all apple products this item is pretty solid. Easy to use, light, compact and I have no issues with it. I burn DVDs, play movies on it, music etc.. Good item.

Bought this for use with the latest Macbook. Compatible with the USB to USB-C adapter. So far used it to install software on disks and rip CDs.

I started right out by accidentally dropping this on a hard floor. It was fine. The speed is amazing and the unit is extremely easy to use. Just plug it in.
