||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, since CD's seem to be going the way of the Dodo I had to purchase this to install some of my older more useful, not cloud based, programs. It's easy to set up: you just plug it into a USB Port and go from there. The only downfall of this product is the fact that it sounds like a jet engine. I would suggest buying a pair of Noise Canceling headphones. If not you may end up needing Rosetta Stone American Sign Language.

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised when I purchase my Apple desktop that they no longer have an internal drive so I had to purchase this separately. I have had this for 2 years now and admittedly don't use it all that often however it works very well and I have had no issues with it.

Great USB optical drive

I got the Apple DVD drive so I'd be able to import my music CDs and programs that I bought on disc. The drive functions as advertised. I've burnt one DVD so far but imported a lot of music CDs and the drive has worked with not problems.
