Works perfectly for everything whether I'm installing software, watching or burning DVD/ CDs. It's super portable as it's very small, only slightly bigger than a CD case, and lightweight. Simple is always better - no added cords, buttons, accessories to make it work. Just plug into a USB and you are good to go! I use this with my MacBook Air. Since it isn't something I need daily, it is perfect to not have it as part of the computer, and I only have to add when it is needed.

Easy to use external hard drive - just plug it in and play! Have used several times to view movies and listen to music cd. Plays both with no issues.

The super drive is very compact making it easy to fit in any space. The device is very straight forward for how to use it, and the installation is quick and easy.

Like most Apple products it is easy to install, easy to use, and a little pricey. But it works and you get what you pay for. Bought it to go with my new iMac.

So I currently own the iMac 5k display and started to really miss my old iMac because of the missing disc drive. Glad I got this really adds that functionality back and it works great. Just wish it connected via thunderbolt.

Computers don't come with DVD players anymore. I need my disc player. This USB SuperDrive is easy to use and works very well.

The Apple external DVD read/writer operates perfectly. I'd recommend it to anyone who has an Apple product that requires an external drive.

Does exactly what I wanted. Had a bunch of Cd's that I needed to import to my library- a shame that this much needed item is not included with the iMac

Great disc drive! I can watch movies, listen to cd's, also if I need to download a program that has a disc I can with the super drive with my macbook air.

Having just said a sad farewell to my 11 year old iMac, I bought a new one which is great except that it doesn't have a DVD/CD drive. I realize many people have no need of one, but I have both DVD's and CD's and not being able to use them was unacceptable. So I bought the SuperDrive and it meshed seamlessly with my iMac and my old MacBook and seems to be working just fine. You can probably find something cheaper but I like the certainty of Apple products doing what they're supposed to do.

I like Apples portable drive. It is small sleek and works very well. I have it placed right below my iMac screen and it doesn't take up much room.
