I bought this SuperDrive because my laptop DVD burner broke. So I needed something quickly and something reliable. I have an iMac computer so the drive was very easy to install all I did was plug in the USB and insert a blank DVD and I was ready to burn I run the videography business so putting these DVDs together and mailing them out is essential to my business I would recommend this product for anybody that burns a lot of DVDs or CDs

As mentioned its a must have for Mac Book Air. Very easy to use and store. It's priced a little high, as most Apple brands make you pay for their quality.

Bought this drive along with a new MAC via a black Friday internet deal - love the compact size and aesthetic appeal - functions well.

Apple's USB SuperDrive just works. Simple plug in. Let's me play movies, rip music and burn music from iTunes. I tried an LG which was fine for installing an application but couldn't be used for burning a cd from iTunes. Definitely glad I went with the Apple at the end.

This is a great addition to my iMac. It does exactly what I need it to do. It looks great and takes up very little space. Very easy to install. A+++++

Perfect and compact! Easy to store and super lightweight. Allows me to still use my old-school discs.

Not the cheapest disc drive on the market, but it seems to be built pretty solid. I just plugged it into my iMac and it was ready to go. I installed some software using it and I've got no complaints as far as that goes. Did what I needed it to do. I didn't notice it being any louder than any other disc drive I've used. There's no physical eject button, but it's not a problem to just right click the dvd icon and click eject.

About as easy to use as it can be. Runs off usb, so it's great to take with you anywhere you travel. A must have for any Macbook!

I have already used this DVD drive multiple times and it works seamlessly with my Mac. Backing up photos to save it is quiet and fast.

Setup is a breeze. Its fast. It looks good sitting on my iMac's base, matching perfectly. A great feature is its rubber non-scratching-stay-put bottom.

My daughter had to have this for her graphic design class. It's very compact in size so it doesn't take up much space. It's also very easy to use.

I purchased a 2016 MBP and as everyone knows they do no have a CD Rom. So unfortunately I had to spend even more money to purchase the Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Silver for the purpose of playing DVD & CD's. It's simple to use just plug and play! It does what it supposed to do without fail. Quality is what you expect from Apple. The only thing I don't like is that it is a extra piece of equipment to carry around when traveling. Such as life when dealing with Apple.

I wanted something compact, easy to use and capable of reading/writing multiple formats. This is a bit expensive but comprehensive product.

I have only used it once but was very pleased! I was confused by the lack of a power button but figured it out. Overall satisfied!
